Hello to all the Texas Fit ppls....

I just moved into the Houston Area, if anyone knows of anything cool going on let me know, since i'm new to the area and could use more things to do. I plan to check out the Houston SCCA Solo Event on Sunday.

Welcome to Texas. I'm not quite sure when a meet or anything will happen, but my gut tells planning will start soon. I see that you are interested in autocrossing, how long have you done it? Also,where did you move from?

 

Marcus and I were talking and its just been so hot lately that we were going to wait for another meet. However with all the rain we have been getting things have been cooling down. But i was also thinking that if everyone was down on spending money that we could have a meet and bowl. We could pick another major city meet up somewhere take some pics wait for everyone to meet and cruise to a bowling alley. That way even if it is hot we can still have fun inside. Just my thoughts. Lemme know what you guys think.

Yea actually the weather isnt that bad now, but still I'd like it to be in the 80-95 range. Yesterday was 95 and was tolerable. Bowling huh. Can you bowl Adam with that knee of yours lol. I know you missed Track 21 and man that was fun, but I got crazy sore after.

 

well my knee does inhibit my bowling abilities. But fortunately i was already pretty bad so now i just have an excuse.

 

Bowling sounds like it would be a good idea. Any thoughts for the location?

 

I'd be down for a vote. Probably either houston or dallas. Unless there is alot of interest in Austin

Well its been decided. Houston it is. If anyone has input for a good alley then pipe up. I'll start a thread this evening.

Actually I need some Fit help guys!!... I just moved in this weekend from Allentown, PA. I have a 07' Base Fit but I tired to put on some Sport OEM Side skirts before I left but it has been a real PAIN IN THE ARSE !!!! they are on with blue painter's tape at the moment but i need to find a permanent fix..

So any of you recommend a body shop, or some ideas as to how i can fix the issue. Or if anyone local wants to try to meet up and check it out.... I would appreciate the feedback. Would send pics but don't have any yet..

The issue is the Sport Fits came with body clips (aka holes in the lower part of the body) that the base Fit does not have. I tired to use 3M double sided tape but it didn't hold very well, need to buy better stuff, or rearrange the way the tape holds it.

 

Get the clips and make some holes. Just a few clips are fine, you dont need all of them.

i know i said i was gonna make a thread for the bowling but things have been a little crazy. If i get around to it tonight i will.

 

im not sure if its been said or not, but around what time would this be happening?

 

more than likely it would be like past events get together at 12 meet up snap some photos wait for slackers. Then probably hit the bowling alley at like 2 and then have dinner or late lunch and probably wrap it up around 6 and anyone staying in town gets together that night.

And bowling alleys usually have pool tables. So we'll see how that works out for you marcus
