In downtown Chicago just earlier... a woman in an SUV plowed 2 people and kept going... No offense but this is why "most" women should not be allowed to drive SUVs... half or more of these women pick SUVs thinking their size makes them safe. Hope this woman get what's coming to her...

In the 80s and 90s a bitch in a Suburban with darkly tinted windows was the one thing that struck fear in my inner most being more than anything on the road.... When their husbands equipped them with cell phones they became even more lethal.

Gotta love Chicago weather...

Went to meet up with DSM to have him check out my car.

When I left the house, it was raining. For the most part, it was light rain/drizzle.

Afterwards, I went to grab a bite to eat. Came out, POURING rain. WTH?

Went to Costco to buy my Pepsi quota for the month. Came out.... drizzle. Hum... go figure.

Aside from the weather, I had myself a little bit of unintentional adrenaline rush. I was driving on Dundee from Skokie Rd... there are these railroad tracks not far away. I went over them at about 45 mph... HOLY FREAKING BEJEBUS! I don't know if I actually got any air, but it sure felt like it!

My rear air shocks are just enough to long that my rear springs fall out when I have both rear wheels off the ground at the same time.... I think I would shit all over myself if I ever got airborne... I need to find some heavy duty gas shocks that are the same extended length or slightly shorter than the stock ones... I like the idea of doing that better than an anti sway bar since the torsion beam itself does the same thing only to a lesser amount... That way I won't be lifting a rear wheel if I get around to living long enough to buying sticky tires.

TC, are you going to get the gas shocks along with the various braces from that group buy list?

Do it, get gas shocks... then get some air!

Maybe I can mount retractable to some of the bracing and get big air... The Fits kind of resemble some 1950s flying car I saw back then in "Popular Mechanics"

There are people of both sexes and all that is in between that become isolated and anonymous in a hulk of a car with tinted windows.... Husbands that want to own a big SUV tells the wife how safe she is in the big truck and how she will not be injured in an accident and create monsters by doing so... If you haven't witnessed this phenomenon in your Fit you will sometime.... Two teenage girls in the front seat of a car are dangerous too as are two or more teenage boys... Girls tailgate and boys go nuts trying to impress their buddies..... I remember doing that myself.

I agree, there are many people that can't drive, either sex. I just said that because I'm a girl, so I was being facetious.

Hooty (my iPhone wants to autocorrect that to booty FYI) I have not. Last time we did autox was in mikes old hatch. Weve been quite busy over the seasons with mikes job...SCCA races, track days, grand am. Pretty much takes up most weekends during the season. Luckily this year doesn't entail as much travel so maybe I'll actually get out there with the fit.
