lol, I can never keep up with the PW thread! 
Might actually be trading in the Fit at the end of AutoX season this year... wife started needing a car for work and she wants something with a slushbox instead of a stick. She hates the Hummer and I am not getting rid of it, lol. I need something really small and manageable for her, AWD, reasonable power, decent cargo and great visibility. We get tons of snow in the suburbs, so ground clearance is also needed. Looked at a Forester and Impreza... was too big for her to feel comfortable. Any other ideas?

I had a look at them at the auto show, I like the Sedan... the hatch on the other hand looks awkward and even a bit goofy to me. It would be on the top of my list except for the fact they only make the hatch AWD, not the sedan. It would be nice to have a little more power as well.
The Impreza, Exo and 3/5 series are all too big... my wife is pretty short so she struggles to see out of those.

Neither can I! Have you seen the new 2011 Impreza STI yet or considered the Evo X? If I recall correctly the Evo X has a 6 speed DSG trans option, but the STI may still be a 6 speed only. Or maybe you could get a 335XI or 535XI, they have a manny, SMG and the slap-stick auto (All 6 speeds) as trans options.
