it shouldn't matter what fuse slot you choose as long as it's constantly
hot. meaning 12V positive even when car is off.
also make sure all your connections are good.
Yep....just make sure you double check the connections...

Yep....just make sure you double check the connections...
I went to watch some football and relax a little. (My team lost though which made me more irritated) Afterwards i rechecked all my connections. I thought maybe those quick splice connectors were no good so I actually cut the wires and spliced them all with butt connectors. Im sure Im getting 12v constant at the fuse because its blinking red right now with the doors locked. Is it possible that I have a bad unit? If my connections were no good, it wouldnt be blinking red right now right? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Sounds like the Blue wire.. needs to be double checked... that is the one that activates the Blue LED... what color wire do you have this hooked up to in the car..?
Here is the colors and wires just incase
Red is 12v constant Black is ground Yellow is switched by ignition.
we will be hooking this one up to gray wire. Blue is door lock unlock
we will be hooking this one up to
the brown wire with silver spots. ( this wire is very important as it needs to see a - signal in order to work properly )

I'll give that wire another check Dave. But isnt this the same wire that gives signal to blink red when its locked? Im almost certain thats the wire its connected to now. But I'll go outside and check it.
I just checked and Im connected to the brown wire with silver dots. Its the wire in the small green connector on the left side. I dont know what else to check. Id be alright if the red light didnt work and the blue light worked. I bought this because the keyhole is hard to see.
Thanks JDM and niko!
Installation was EZ and turned out GREAT

How is your LED exposure so large? Mine is tiny compared to yours!
Is it the differences between the 08 and 09, or did you enlarge your bezel cut-out?

sorry to hear that.
your benzel def has to be smaller.
I didn't do anything to my benzel.
09's must have a bigger hole.
just get a sharp blade and cut some
out. thats the best thing i can think of
for now.
keep us posted on what you did though.
