Ignition Light Ring DIY
logon to FJC or SHC, pm a user nick "eeee78". i think the price is $25 to $30. hope it helps.
Sorry for reviving this thread, but can anyone else find the original red/blue ring light?
I cannot seem to find it anywhere, and Dave is somewhat awol.
That MicroImage link is just a blue LED attached to clear plastic with grazed surfaces so the light reflects. Most likely the same plastic that you grab when you open your home blinds. A far cry from the one Dave sells. $40, no thanks.
Any of you folk selling those world one blue/red ignition lights?
And what exactly is: "FJC or SHC"?

Last I spoke to Dave he said that he can not get these any more. World One has sold the rights/company, and a new company will making these. Dave said that the new ones wont be available till October...
Mine turned out to be defective, and I basically took a loss on it... since it will probably cost the same as another new one to send mine back and get it repaired... if that was even possible... damn.

Mine did the same thing as your after only being installed for a week. Tried getting a hold of Dave numerous times through PM's and on this thread to see if anything can be done about it and never heard anything back from him. Would've been nice to hear something from him but never did.
Yup mine too after about week it started flashing faintly red, and some blue.
Using a battery I tried 9v, same problem; then a 110 to 12v dc constant converter, same problem... I then decided to try one of my 18v Dewalt batteries, and it worked perfectly.... go figure.

I have a brand new World One model I am selling soon.
Update
Well about ~7 months ago I gave my defective World One keyring to a friend of mine who's an electrician (and an LED fanatic, & he's done some unbelievable LED lighting/displays for some museums, theaters, etc... anyway that's besides the point). I told him to take a look at it and see if he can fix it somehow. He was baffled with the change in operating voltage, basically the problem was that my unit won't work properly with less than ~16v constant (so it's defective), he's been playing around with different ways of making it work with no reliable solution, but he doesn't want to give up.
I did give up on the World One keyring, and gave in and had a different one imported (even though I got killed in shipping it was about the same price I paid for the original one, but I got 2... just in case 1 breaks. lol). The installation is the same (took me less than 10 minutes), and so are the looks/functions. So I finally have another working one, I just hope this one lasts longer.

What's the new company that makes these and what site did you buy them from? Is it the same Blue/Orange function?
Thanks!
Can't recall the name of the new manufacturer, but I bought it from rsstyle.com (Thailand) ---> Key Ring LED Universal 2 Step. - . It looks almost exactly the same, the newer one has beefier wires, and a slightly different control unit (diff resistors, same functions). Aside from that it's exactly the same - blinking red when locked, solid blue when unlocked, and off when key is inserted.
