Blanks as the Fit is my daily driver. Where as for my Civic I'll be buying slotted rotors at some point.

Well yesterday I got my new rims and tires. Went with Konig Helium 15x6.5 in bronze and Yokohama S-Drive 195/50/15

Today I installed my new dash kit along with my new Pioneer 7300BT head unit.

More mods to come. Installing my Tanabe GF210 springs tomorrow

Not only will that look nice, but that will be fun to drive.

The 15x6.5 Heliums are only ~11lbs/each. The stock GD sport wheels are ~17lbs/each.

That is a lot. When I made the switch to ~11.5lb Rota's it made a colossal difference. Then lighter lower profile (195/50/15) sticky tires after that again made for a dramatic change in performance. The Tanabe's are going to be pretty tight from what I hear. Will make cornering a blast though!

I configured some more xgauges to see that AFR, catalythic converter temp, cpk (not an xgauge, but anyway) don't work on my jazzy thing.

Got some measurements in order to understand my low mpg. Thought of taking some measures of airbox to rebuild it per other fellows' suggestion (shg-mike, apexanimal,...) but was raining and I do miss a garage...!!!

Today I got my tint put on. 5% on the little triangles by the mirrors, 20% on the driver and passenger side windows and 5% on all rear windows.

 

I had my recalls done today and they told me the rear shocks were leaking and replaced them for free. Apparently the car has Honda extended care warranty. =)

 

I know this should go in the Eco fit forum since it has to do with gas, but since I did it today I might as well post here. I have been using 93 oct for a few months now, and tried use regular today, there is definitely a difference in acceleration and rev-matching has become less smooth as well since the RPMs dont got as high as the normal tap on the gas pedal in 93 oct.

A lot of people will swear up and down that you are crazy and it is all in your head... These little cars are so much more responsive and fun to drive with 93 octane in the tank that I couldn't resist seeing if adding octane booster would make more of an improvement... I found that it did and got my first speeding ticket in almost 28 years as I was shifting out of 3rd gear at 79 MPH while going around an uphill curve.

 

octane is only to prevent detination. the only way u should feel a difference is if u changed ur timing which is computer controlled. so u really shouldnt see any difference unless ur car is detonating for some reason.

 

The ECU retards timing to allow use of fuel with an octane rating as low as 87, something that could never be done on an engine with a compression octane 10.4 to 1 like the Fit has. Get a scan gauge and see what your timing advances to with 87 octane and then with 93 or higher... There is a difference with as high as a 15 degree loss of ignition timing when using 87 octane that results in a loss of torque, horsepower and the need for a larger throttle opening to maintain a given speed. The ECU giveth timing advance and it taketh away.
