What did you do to the GD Fit today?
Swapped out that devil of a crankshaft pulley. It's a weight!! I'm considering buying a second and creating a dumbbell. The new pulley is the T1R. Fantastic. A definite noticeable improvement in response and power. (knowing that pretty well anything is noticeable on our baby engine.) It was really fun to get three people and a whole lot of leverage to take that bolt off. The impact (of which I don't know its rated ftlbs) was completely useless, haha!
The actual install wasn't very difficult. Just be careful to oil the appropriate locations on the bolt when you reinstall, and don't remove or lose the key which locates the pulley's position. The only two parts that were a little challenging were the bolt removal, which like I said, needed a LOT of torque, and getting at the alternator's lower bolt. For the pulley bolt, the powerbuilt honda crank pulley tool is very much recommended.
Hahaha! I'm down. It's not too complicated. Just needs a bit of creativity at times.
I blew out my bad knee so I could not go to the car show today with my friend Rod. I needed to do the weekly shopping so off to Wal-Mart I go. I always park in the last row away from everyone. So I limped in and limped out to find this....

OK seriously - it is not even 9:00 AM and the lot has massive empty spots everywhere. You just have to pull up on top of the little Fit and how about side swipping it as you pulled out with your 12 foot long trailer! Glad I got out there in time to move it out of the way. Just had to stop long enough to get a picture.

Went to the local honda dealership to get an inspection done. Yea.....that didn't happen. The inspector said I was too low and my depot tailights aren't DOT approved. Sad face.

Those guys are chicken shit... Find an inspection station that is friendly to car enthusiast... There is no way I could pass inspection here if the guys weren't hot rodders.

Are there any printed/etched/molded in the tail lights? Check for the letters "DOT" on them. Some inspectors jump to the conclusion that some aftermarket parts do not meet the DOT requirements like the OEM parts do.

I'll double check during my lunch break.
Re-installed my eibach sportlines today, actually turned out to be lower then last time I had them on. The rear has to settle a lil more but it actually looks right now. Also put on my blox purple lug nuts that I had for awhile and just sits and collects dust.
