What did you do to the GD Fit today?
In the mean time, I just got a new rear tailgate garnish. My CF one is just not lasting in this Texas weather so I decided to make it simple.
Marlboros were $1.30 a carton in the PXs on base camps in Vietnam but being in a Marine Corps infantry company I usually got then for free... They were .35 when I left for there and .50 when I got back to the states.. During gas price wars it was common to see regular down to $00.23.9 a gallon and lower when I was real little and mowing yards... I have seen very few carbon fiber hoods that didn't look like hell. I'm pretty sure it is ultra violet rays and high temperature that uglifies them.. I made up that word uglify... I think it should be accepted as mainstream and be in the dictionary.

I saw great looking watches being sold by little kids smoking Salems in DaNang.. They were in your face little guys that wouldn't give up on selling you one.. Now here is where the patience comes in, the damn things worked great for a little while.. I took one apart for a guy and found that the action had gears that were cut from a Budweiser beer can.. Now that took a great mind and lots of patience to make the thing tick and keep time even if it only did it for a week.

he sure did1 You don't think that will cause problems down the road when... oh I don't know... its time to do maintenance on them, do you?
I checked and cleaned up the grounds yesterday, though they looked pretty clean. Still no real luck.
Just thinking that the battery might not be putting out 12 volts and also check the fuses. There should be 2 panels one in the engine and under driver seat and 1 on the battery.
Check the fuel pump relays, I believe there is 2. Also reading that other people where having the same problems with their Kpro motors. The ecu would not recognize the relays after a while.

If not, then a new ECU.... Or just mount your laptop on the car... and unmount when you park... ala radar detector/GPS...
Cheer up bud, hope you figure out what's wrong...
Hmmm... Everything makes sense except he said the car starts fine with the laptop hooked up... Fuses and relays should be bad either way... Now the ECU part...
ECU issues can get deep very quick. Don't know if it's worth signal-tracing. Wonder if a re-flash would do the job.

Electrical problems are hard to trace. Isn't he running two ECU's piggy backed? I hope he finds the problem, I like that car and motor.
Remember how we checked the OBD1 codes by grounding A and B with a paperclip? I wonder if that would ground the ecu to start.
Before washing my car this afternoon I decided to try and clean up my headlights.
My car is 10 years old now and the headlight housings had started to deteriorate quite badly, turning yellow in places and looking as if the top layer is chipping/peeling away in others.
Setting to work on them with a bottle of T-Cut, a clean rag (and plenty of elbow grease), they now look like this...

I'm afraid I forgot to take a "before" picture, but they certainly look much better now.
Glad I spent the time working on them.
