It's been a busy few days for me.. installed HFP axel-back, DC sports ram-air intake, Mugen shift knob/pedals, shift-boot, and red JDM steering wheel emblem. Waiting for my center console/arm rest, mugen antenna, RS and i-vtec badges, and mugen oil cap to come in the mail :-D

Where did you get the mugen antenna? I wasn't aware that mugen had produced that item.

It was on e-bay, only about $10 so I doubt it is "true" mugen.. it's 4.5" and carbon fiber and has a mugen decal on it so I figured why not lol

Just realized I didn't register in time. LAME! no gonna spend $143 for registration and late fees.

Looks like we'll have to race another time.

Has anyone ordered from: dhgates.com

I stumbled upon this the other day and it had me going at first. Mugen products for pennies on the dollar, Recaro seats for $150. Its crazy.

Then I looked into it. Basically you order these "name brand" products that then get made by a local small to medium business in china. Curious if anyones gotten any product from here.

I've ordered stuff from that site before, but NEVER any car parts.

If I'm looking for cheap knock-offs, then it's whatever. But if it's stuff for my car, I rather go with a trusted dealer/seller and buy authentic.

I would stay away from Chinese made parts.

Washed, rotated and installed my stock sport rims and Yoko S drives. Thank god I'm done with the winters, I'm not a fan of how they feel on dry pavement. Torqued my lug nuts at 90 ft./lbs which is perfect for me. Spec says 80 ft/lbs but when I tried to break the lugs afterwards, they were so easy to back out, it didn't require the slightest effort! Definitely has me worried. With the new 90ft/lbs torque, it's perfect. I haven't retorqued them all winter and they lugs unscrewed with a moderate effort. Also, I inflated my tires at 40psi warm tire pressure which by my calculation is about 3 psi more than the 32 recommended psi.

I was prying out some rocks and pebbles out of my S drives when I noticed two chunks of glass stuck in my two fronts I pried them out and it exposed pretty deep holes of about 4mm long and 5-6 mm deep. I hope the rubber will "close up" around the holes with regular driving. That's what you get for living downtown and having alcoholics always smashing their bottles everywhere.

Put some new rubber on the Volks today. Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 A. Looking forward to trying these new tires on the track in a few weeks. Lost 10lbs per corner from the stock wheels.

84, that's a nice R32 as well, how much did it cost you to get it imported?

Smile Coil pack and spark plug replacement

Canadian here. I should have known that it would happen eventually. I was stupidly hoping that I wouldn't have the stutter problem, but it finally sucumbed recently. It's a 2007 and I'm at 98,000kms. I paid $105 per coil pack (Honda 30520-PWC-S01) and $25 per spark plug (NGK IZFR6K-13) at my stealership. The plugs were pre-gapped at .044 and I torqued them to 15 ft-lb. I had intended to order from Rock Auto much earlier, but didn't get around to it. So I bit my lip and ponied up the extra dough to get it fixed ASAP.

The pictures and instructions on this website made it fairly easy: Changing Spark Plugs (L15A VTEC) | Honda Fit DIY

I rarely post, but I needed to say thanks to this awesome community that let me cut right through to the heart of the problem. Thank you!

Not mine. I was running some errands when I saw it parked. I parked next to it to snap some pictures when the owner came back. We talked about cars and stuff for like 20 minutes before I left. He mentioned that he got it for 25k.

...come to think about it, with the money I've spent on my car plus mods, I could have bought one too... oh well.
