Installed the DIY SRI lastnight before heading to work, just in time too! how ever i did cut the hole for the sensor a little too far so it barely reaches, is there an extension i could get or should i just get another piece? (only about 10bucks) Love the result on it thought, and saved about 100bucks from getting a name branded one..My only concern is, i live in CA, will i run into smog check problems?

BTW, my axle back should come in monday. I work that day but got tuse and wend off... so i cant wait to but that in also!

After these two mods, ive gotta save up for some new shoes, theyre almost slicks...
i have the HFP alloy wheels with 205/45/16 Can i get meatier tires? would those last longer?

Thanks for the support FF'ers
i owe it all to you guys!

Texas Coyote - you did us proud!!!!!!!! There is just something about guys and gals that drive those stang! Good for you!

Here is what I did to the GD 3 yesterday. Added trophy # 10 to shelf and meet two Fit owners in Ohio yesterday. Great to tell them about this site and they were so happy with their cars. I posted a thread with some pictures from the show but it has already went to the wayside. Seems to happen alot lately, maybe I am too old to be of any interest anymore.

Anyway here is the picture:

I'll post up some pictures after Eric puts on the Megan exhaust this week or next - can't wait for the final modification to be done. Will hate November to come and going back to stock hood and rims for the winter.

Discovered my A/C compressor's magnetic clutch has detached for some reason. Not having A/C while driving in Manila is a pain.

Update: Found the reason for it.

The flywheel is held in place by a nut that threads onto the end of the compressor's shaft. Unfortunately the shaft broke right where the nut goes on, so there's nothing securing my compressor flywheel.

Best case scenario is the shaft can be welded back in place. Worst case scenario is I have to pay roughly $400 through the nose for a new compressor.

Hope that it is the easier fix! I can't even think what it would be like without the AC we have had heat index up to 105 - way too hot!

Pulled it out the garage for a little bit to let the rain wash off my cat's paw prints.

Thanks Cat; I'm not too optimistic though. I've heard the A/C compressor used in the Fits is the kind that has lower inertia, but usually doesn't lend itself well to repairs...unlike the older, "more serviceable" kind (I'm no expert on car A/C, just sharing what I know).

If your GD's A/C compressor develops a noticeable squeak when you turn on the chill, that's the bearing inside failing. Take that as a slow death knell and a signal to save up the moolah for a new one. I've been through that with my old Honda.
