Pat how did you end up getting the B-pipe separated? Cro-magnon style?
hahahha pretty much! though i did purchase an angle grinder, i only needed it for one bolt! i used a stud remover, pounded it onto the rusty bolts, impacted them off, and smacked the studs out with a hammer.
went pretty good, other than one of thespring bolt sbreaking off in the header flange, but it just took some vice grips to spin it out.

car is loud and very grumbly, sounds great

I changed my oil with Mobil 1 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy, we'll see if there is an improvement in mileage.

I bought the vehicle used a few months ago and the previous owner had the oil changed at the dealer, so I'm assuming it was conventional oil. The oil life was at 60%, but the oil was about a quart low. Instead of adding/mixing brands of oil, since I don't know what it had, I figured it was time to give it an oil change with synthetic.

i want to try eneos but the local shop here only has 5w-30 and I'm pretty sure that's going to hurt the mpgs. Been using purple 5w-20 since my 2nd change.

Went to a few stores to buy a few things and took a fun run on a nearby backroad. Almost took out a squirrel and potentially my front lip but fortunately the car cleared the squirrel.

Hope he/she didn't go deaf from the HFP muffler.

Speaking of Mobil1, has anyone else had issues with this oil turning dark early? I ran Mobil1 once and in a thousand miles it got dark, but since then I've run the cheap Motorcraft 5w20 blend stuff and it looks as good the day I take it out as the day I put it in every time.

I mean really this is the opposite of what I expected. The y8 LOVED mobil1 - it stayed clean for a long time, didn't burn off as fast, got a lot better mileage, etc. I don't know if I had a bad batch or what but for $23/5qt I've been hesitant to go back.

I'm not a fan of it, but it does look like whoever painted it did a good job. Maybe it'll grow on you after a while.

Yes hes taling about in the middle of the grill its there stock and cant be removed inless i guess u cut it out. I thought i was the only one who had one but if u look closely in every ones pick they all have it. Some do paint it black to try and hide it. But really u don't notice it that well in person in less ur a midget. Most people would not be looking at my car from the same hight i took the pics from. I was on my knees when i took these pics.

yesterday i put on my c-pillar, rear strut and cross bars, it really made a big difference, the car responds to steering input much more crisply, need to stiffen up the front though now because you can feel how squishy the front is. im sure a strut bar and thicker FSB will help out.

Today, progress RSB and an oil change with a new mfactory oil drain plug. Mugen pedals should be here in the mail sometime next week.
