lip and fog housing came out really well... hours of huffing paint fumes. i was pretty proud. since i bought bondo to take care of that nasty screw hole from the license plate holder (want to do JDM style), i was going to take care of that along with some other scuff marks.

apparently i didn't realize i was almost out of paint.... so this was the end result ...le sigh!!! re-ordered 2 cans of paint but the site doesn't have expidited shipping so i'll have to roll around with an ugly lookin bumper for a while!!! primer gray/blazed orange style :P

A week ago I went to start my car and the battery light was on, I look under the hood and I can see the belt has come off the alt pulley and is not even spinning. I get it to the shop and they replace the belt and im good to go, or so I though.

Monday night/ Tuesday morning when I was working the car started making a very loud squealing noise. when driving my volts are right around 14.3 but I noticed now they where dropping when stopped, they would go down to 13 -11 even as low as 10.2. In the mornign I checked under the hood and could seethat the belt has come off again and that the belt is contacting the alternator again. I get the car down there today and sure enough it eat another belt, at this point me and the shop are kind of at a lost as what to do, we could put another belt on but it my forth belt in 2 years and it will just eat it again.

He gave me a call and said there is a possibility that the SC bearing is bad, he said it spun free untill it got to a spot then had trouble spinning and that is what could be causing the problem. The only way of know though would be taking it out and sending it to Kraftwerks.

I have just decided to bring it back to stock, witch is now causing all sorts of new problems, like I cant seem to find all the OEM parts again. I really hate to do it and its got me real bummed out today but I need this car back to being reliable and im just going to try and get the money to go K20.

Damn man don't take the kit out because the alternator. I would just spend time on fixing the problem. Is the belt larger then stock because the supercharger kit?

Gud job ma'man!

before i started sprayin the bumper i thought "hmmm this feels light" when i picked up the spray can

shit!!!

i'm going to respray the whole bumper now and sand out the imperfections. i think it's easier than taping off the individual areas and hopefully will come out nice!

thanks for all the PM's -- took off the double sided tape as it was not needed but couldn't get the fogs in with the lip on ..so FYI if you ever need to remove the fogs you gotta take off the lip, brah

I can't help but think that driving a dropped car in deep snow would have contributed to the belts slipping and wearing out prematurely ... What the mechanics may be feeling as the turned the pulley on the supercharger was more than likely the traction drive trying to ramp.... I am still on my first belt with the last 65000 miles at 10PSI boost.... The supercharger and pulley sits down very low and back from the water pump and the friction surface would be exposed to snow being thrown up by the lower control arms and tires on the right side of the car..... I haven't driven in snow but I will get a chance tomorrow so I'll have a better idea of what is happening...Like I said in an earlier post, my belt must be slipping on the alternator some based on the low voltage readings on my scan gauge after just starting it off and having it parked for about 2 minutes in 18 degree weather with light precipitation... I'm going to dress warmly drink some Brandy, go for a drive and see what it does first thing tomorrow..... I wonder if any other Fit owners equipped with a scangauge has seen a drop in voltage at low RPM after start up in this Cold spell.

I found that if I didn't spend money on eye candy and JDM prestige Items I could save the money real quick....I have enough stashed now for some more enhancing parts for the drive train, suspension, and more power under the hood... I just have to get it all at a good price and I can do even more.... This is going to be one screaming clown car before I am finished with it.

Hey Tex
Ya I have a votlage gauge and no SC but after starting in the cold here it has gone from 12.4 static drop to 11.2 after startup and then 14.4 to 14.8 and after 10 miles 13.9 for a short time back up to 14.'s.
mikey

Hey MN,
Sorry about the SC and the bearing prob. let us know what happens and I hope ya find all ur oem stuff! Let us know what you need as far as parts to get her drivable again. so we can help!
Mike

^^ very true TC. I've usually been a believer in spending your money wisely and not just buying stuff because its there. I've only just now started modding my car after owning it for two and a half years. I dont know how much a KWSC is but I know i haven't spent that much on my car even if you add it ALL up.
I'm liking the fact that a SC would add much needed power to our little fit's but is it enough to satisfy when you think about road racing or just daily driving(probably dd) but if I was gonna road race it I would probably not have it as a DD just because both aspects of RR or DD would suffer because they would have to sacrifice for each to co-exist.
So off tangent as usual but I like the idea of a KWSC for that added power at a lower cost, but would also love a K swap but then I'm back where i was with my 93 EG and completely illegal and non smogable and just one thing after another. I think I would go SC route as long as i know i can be 100% smoggable or at least able to smog with some minor switching of the exhaust or what not. Any info on that part of having a KWSC?

Thanks, you are one of my FF.net allstars TC keep it up man

We all spend our money where we seem fit. Some want show some want go. This is why honda is one of the most versatile cars out there for mods. I mean would you want a four cylinder mustang that looked good? To each his own, our famous saying right?

Off that working on my next set of rims, my all time favorite FAKE wheels.
