GE8 1.5L Supercharger Kit.
I thoroughly enjoyed my last couple trips to Texas. It truly is beautiful in some spots, but as you mentioned others can be a war of endurance when driving through.
I am gathering some materials and such on this topic for you. I wouldn't ever try to pass on bad information!
You should give yourself some credit, you certainly seemed to know what was going on for the most part, you even recognized some of the tables I showed you on the lap top when I fired up the car to show you how I track the sweeps through the cells!
Most people just look at me like this:

Even though I'm still don't have anywhere near as comprehensive a knowledge as you. I'm already reaching a similar point when dealing with friends, coworkers, etc. Sometimes it's funny and sometimes it's just frustrating. I'm always willing to explain to people but I hate starting from "well you see, an engine makes power by igniting air and fuel, you can only add so much fuel to so much air. A turbo allows you to force more air into the cylinder which in turn allows you to add more fuel and ultimately make more power..." I've had to say this so many times... After about 10-15 minutes I can usually get the person to start talking to me about iats in a meaningful way. If I can get them to tell me why low iats are desirable without me telling them. I feel like I've done my educating for the day.
Usually I just try and start off like "you remember in science class how things expand when they got hot and contract when they get cold? Air does the same thing. So if the air going into the engine is colder you can fit more in there!" Thats where the connections start getting made.
But every once in a while it'll be some mid 30's balding beergut low sperm count V6 mustang owner who talks a big game telling me how I've got a misfire then I politely explain to them that I am running a high lift, high duration aggressive ramp rate custom cams. That usually has them taking me more seriously and but then will ask me stuff like, "so wheres the turbo?"
Hmm, its like "where's waldo" amirite?

(Note: This pic is a few months outdated at this point Goobers saw it partially dismantled on sunday.. my garage was a mess too
)I usually just try to pretend like I have somewhere to be at that point.

A keen observer will notice that the cruise control system is still installed, but my meth tank and computer are missing from their perch behind that big K&N intake filter.

Those are the sorts of conversations I get sucked into almost everytime I go to the gas station. For the most part I love answering questions, especially for kids who are starting to get into modifications.

For sone reason I'm very passionate about stopping PnP HID lights. Which is very uncharacteristic of me since I'm insanely easy going irl.
To the hypothetical 'stang drivers credit, if he saw a turbo fit, it seriously is like where's Waldo to find the turbo.
It is a trip. There are now a whole fleet of cars shooting for the 250mph mark.
I only need ~530whp to get to 200mph, some of these cars need 1200+ whp to get up to 250mph in the span of a mile.
I am picking the TX Mile first because they don't seem to be as anal about the safety certifications. I only want to do 150-175mph on my first trip out.
Some of these guys going for 250mph at TX, and I won't name names.. are only using a helmet and a roll bar.
Maybe their giant balls will deploy in the event of an emergency...

My expertise on boost are on the minimal. Now if anyone wants to get more indepth and technical info on the fit sc (looking at DSM... sorry dude lol) a Skype call to Australia is rather very cheap. I have no problem chipping in a dollar or two for Skype credit
Yeah, I'm excited now. This just "hit the ground" for me. Prior, I'm thinking that this is a kit that will be sold in Australia, and shipping/support would be a nightmare. I worked with a designer there once, and I swear it took twice as long to get anything done cause she was asleep while I was awake. To get some Cali support, and a distribution deal going, would really help it have a shot.
This S/C is the same type as the Whipple units that are popular for use on V8 Mustangs... Now someone needs to hang a traction drive planetary CVT on a larger version of this thing and set it up for a Fit.... If that happens and with the ability to beef up these little engines now, the possibility of big block V8 torque and horsepower could easily be attained and still be driven on the street with reliability..... I can't believe I just said that.
