Red 05 07 Cobalt SS 2 0L L4 Supercharged Cold Air Intake System Filter 3" | eBay

Check that out.

I used to own a Cobalt SS/SC and at one point among the many intakes I fiddled with.........I bought something like that. At the end of my ownership of the car it had a ZZP 3 inch CAI.

And that ebay one went in the shed. Other day I looked for grins and giggles and guess what. You can cut that MAF section out.....AND the stock Honda MAF fits right in and the screws are the same pitch!

Blam.

Take a ebay intake, cut out the section you want. Use the couplers and filter and all the stuff you need for a custom intake for only up to 50.00?

Pics coming up.

I could stand to trim it a little more, but you get the idea. Im painting it wrinkle black to go with my velocity stack....woot. Either way these intakes can be found cheap.....soooo hopefully this will help some of you cats out not willing to hack your stocker apart.

Time permitting I will show a pic with the Honda MAF in it....but its in the car and this is wet.

If the pipe is 3" where the sensor is mounted, your going to get a CEL for engine running lean.

The MAF sensor is calibrated for the stock intake size, which is 2" I believe.

The takeda is 3" at the filter, but reduces in size when it gets to the MAF sensor.
