Throwout bearing noise?
First post on the forums!
Whenever I shift from 1-2-3 and I let off of the clutch I hear a slight sound that goes away a second or two after.
Friend said it may be a cheap throwout bearing as he thinks the clutch was replaced not too long ago because his GD3 makes the same noise but not as noticeable.
The drive isn't affected nor is shifting aside from the noise, clutch seems to grab pretty low on the pedal and transfers power fairly well.
Picked up a Orange 09 Sport GE8 and has been a decent commuter. Cost me $5.6k CDN taxes in which seemed like a good deal compared to what I had seen in the market. I did buy it as wholesale from a dealership so some damages on the sideskirts and windshield, the interior was totally dirty but nothing bad mechanically apart from the noise.
I see a rear sway bar is a pretty good mod, i went to a aftermarket store locally and someone said I should do lowering springs alongside the RSB. Part of me thought he's upselling me on things but I kinda understand lowering the centre of gravity. Thoughts on that?

Welcome to the club!
Sounds like a throwout bearing to me. But I could be wrong. A sway bar and springs are a good idea, after regular maintenance stuff like fluids and valves. Also changing the brake master cylinder to remove the delay valve is popular.
