On the West Coast, you can pick up a Fit at or below invoice w/no destination charge any day of the week. Don't be bamboozled by dealers that are saying "Fit's aren't being discounted." It's BS.

^i agree. i got mine in socal for $200 OFF the window sticker price...and this was OTD. i hate BS dealers.

the better way of asking dealer when negotiating is "how much less of a profit do you want to me off of me?" cuz we all know they wont sell a car at a lost. because if a dealer told me they are selling something at a lost then i would literally do this in front of them and walk away.

The best way to combat dealer BS is to have threads like these... where we post the actual prices paid... Dealers absolutely it when word gets around that people can get a 2009 Fit Sport m/t for $15,400 incl. dest, a Fit base for $14,100 incl. dest, etc. Nothing like beating dealers at their own game.

Are you sure they included the destination charge charge with the above quote (might want to make sure)?

With the destination charge, the MT is usually around 16300-16500 range while the AT is around 700$ more. I believe they are running a 500$ cash back right now so it might be around 16K or so for the Fit Manual Sport.

Not too sure. I'll send another e-mail for a verification. Thanks for the response back btw.

Hmm, the 500$ cashback might be gone.. But they do have 0.9% for 36 Months, or 1.9% for 60 months now (3/2/2010 through 5/3/2010)

Current Offers

If you plan on keeping your fit and paying it off over five years, worth much more than 500$ cash back in interest savings.

When I got my Fit two months ago, I tried the Costco route. Best the dealers could do was invoice price (tried several East Bay-NorCal dealers Fleet Sales) for the Fit Sport AT ($16,645 (Invoice) + 710$ (destination charge) -- 17355$) and that's before Tax/Title and Registration.. Total was low 19K for me (no other options). The MT version should be around 816$ cheaper but those are quite a bit harder to find especially if you have a specific color in mind.

CA peeps pay attention!

So just a heads up to you CA folks there are amazing deals to be had at anderondirect.com (Anderson Honda in Palo Alto). They have an internet special of 15,999 (used to be 15888) on a 2010 New Fit Sport Auto, and I just got mine with an additional Yelp discount of $250 (I think this discount is gone now), so I paid 15,738 for mine last week. Remember this is an auto sport, not one of the cheaper models.
I dealt with Jack Puls from the internet department and he is a low pressure guy- definitely worth dealing with. Note this did include all the misc charges including destination. The only addtl I paid was state fees including Tax, so otd was still under MSRP (low 17s).

Knowledge is power. Good luck!

Yep it does. Exact details (again note I find that the yelp discount disappeared after I did this deal):

New 2010 Fit Sport Auto $15738.00
Document prep 55.00
CA Alameda County Sales Tax (9.75%) 1460.85
CA Fees:
CA Lic 181.00
CA Reg 67.00
CA Tire 8.75
CA Smog Abatement 20.00
(Total CA fees 276.75)

Total OTD= $17530 (MSRP= $17,970)

Anderson Honda Rocks. If you buy a car from Jack Puls make sure you tell him jondotcom sent you!

Anderson has been doing awesome deals for a long time. I bough my 2005 accord from them new and that too was an awesome deal.
Go to edmunds prices paid forums and chances are the lowest prices are coming from them (not quite sure how they do it!). Cheers
