Inspected my tint job after one week. Still got some bubbles that I doubt are going away. Going to call the shop by end of week.

What should my expectations be? It's a high quality shop and I expected perfection.

If it was done by a shop it should be flawless and there should probably be a no bubble/crack guarantee. If they show up it should be replaced free within a year or something like that. I've had my tint now for almost a year and it was done with precision, no bubbles anywhere. Bubbles are something to expect doing it yourself, not at a shop.

Took off the rest of this stupid mirror chrome trim crap that was all over my car from the last person that owned it...then had to wash it because of all the double sided tape! Looks a hell of a lot better!

I stared at the mess of expensive stuff that I have to rearrange a bunch of other expensive parts under the hood to make room for.... Then I had an anxiety attack and came inside, drank some bourbon and cried. The new battery had a shipping weight of 10.5 Lbs.... Thirteen days straight of 100 or higher temperatures and a total of 20 day total this year.... It hasn't been to bad as long as there had been a breeze and the humidity was low but the THI will be well over 105 tomorrow.

It's okay TC, winter will come, and then I'll be the one feeling sorry for myself due to poor traction and hockey puck treads. If it makes you feel any better, I spoke to a guy in Texas today, at work, who was one of the most stupid people I've ever had the privilege of speaking to. He then tried to say "only the best can live in Tex" and then, thinking of you, I told him not to insult other Texans like that, and hung up on him.

Note to future callers. Don't lie to me and say you have a clean record. I'm going to run your MVR, I'm going to see your 2 DUIs and 4 license suspensions, and I'm going to be really pissed at you for wasting my time.

Replaced the cheap plastic dealer plate frame with a nice chrome one, swapped the default trunk light bulb with an LED bulb from College Hill Honda, and added the side molding since my new garage is tighter than my old one.

Nearly lost my Fit when some dumbass ran a red light while I had a left turn light. If I had done a spirited acceleration through the turn, I would probably be on the side of a road with an airbag in my face right now.

You get a gold star for that. Good to know there are people out in your neck of the woods looking out for the millions of amazing people that live in our state who are not like that guy.

Yesterday...

-washed it
-discovered a door ding
-touched up said door ding
-drove around in a spirited manner... semi Italian tuneup style
-finally relaxed and told myself to get over it

There are way too many people like that guy where I live now. I have to pretty much isolate from them or chew off my tongue to keep from being held in more contempt than I am already.... After being here 15 years I still run into people that tell me that I must not be from around here, followed by "your different".. I always thank them for noticing.

Reconditioned my spare k&n filter for swap soon. Emptied the contents of my fit for dropoff at the body shop to fix the numerous body panels rendered non oem by a rear ender that pushed me into the next car. Insurance is playing nicely with minor arm twisting. Estimate starts at $5500 and is assumed to go up once its torn down.

Lets see what pos suv the enterprise sticks on me... Oh well at least i have a suv for the road trip family vacay week in Tahoe. Bet it gets half the mpg though, im thinking of billing the ins company for the difference in fuel cost ;D
