What did you do to your GE fit today?
Good luck with that. I bought one for my 2010 and have never driven with the lower part on. I did install it once, but realized it really is too much of a bother. I run with the hood mask on most all the time. I was confounded by the way the lower 'fits' around the headlight units...........

my oldest brother used to have a 92 Honda Accord EX... my other brother eventually bought a full mask for it... the problem was, when we cleaned the car, we noticed how nasty it got under the mask. Somethings that get under there can ruin the paint too. the likely hood of debris getting in there on a nice dry day is minimal... but when it rains or really windy, it's easy.
When I was shopping for the Fit (and the Insight prior to switching to the Fit), I kept wanting a nose mask too, but then kept remembering that! So, no mask for me.
I agree with you that a full bra will protect more but after hearing from Goobers previous post that his bro found nasty stuff lurking underneath the bra, I have second thoughts... difficult to decide
If you're thinking of the lower section the krud factor might be a problem, but with the hood protector it really isn't an issue. Every now and again it comes off [3 simple hook connectors] and I keep the hood well waxed. When I do use it is on open road trips - turnpike stuff.
Thing with the deflector is you're still going to need to clean under it, and nothing keeps the stuff from hitting the wind screen. Not sure how they mount - watchya say Bill?

Don't use a full cover bra on a lowered car.. I did it on a GMC cargo van and tore the bottom part to pieces... My wife bought one that I put on her Forester and no problems like that or with dirt... Like KC I will periodically remove it before a wash job and wax the area it covers and lift it away and direct a stream of water from a hose nozzle between it and the car... We live at the end of a gravel road so I try to give it extra attention and it seems to be doing fine.
It wasn't dropped but there wasn't a road to my house then and the off road driving had the same effect on the lower part of the bra.. Come to think about it, the rear end was lowered by removing a leaf from each of the springs to get it to ride and handle better... The front and rear sat at the same hight after that also.. Neat vehicle but people drive you crazy wanting you to move shit for them.
Delayed reply, but I finally got some WeatherTech Digital Fit liners for the front and rear. I wish they'd answer my email/calls about releasing a Digital Fit liner for the GE already... Honestly, this puts me off a bit in terms of their Customer Service..

I had a short hood bra on a previous car. Keeping it well waxed prevented any scratching. If you are good you can undo them with one hand or wait that is the girls friend's.
I bet you shoveled snow - but then again there probably aren't many snow shovels in Alabama. That either sucks or is really sweet.
The nice thing about the hard winters up north is that when you have shot you limit of wild game you can butcher it and keep it in an out building to stay frozen.... We did that when I was up on the High Plains and ate a lot of venison when the daily high temperature went from 18 degrees to 65 in one day.. We were able to keep the meat cool enough that it didn't go bad by wrapping it in clear plastic and placing it on a bed of straw and covering it with more straw as a means of insulation... The snow here is slowly melting and it is ugly looking outside.

haha
