I have the funds set aside, just waiting until I stop carpooling in December

I thought you had it already! I might be getting it before you then-- I'm trying to get ready for the Wired On Honda Show-off in a few weeks

I have the Mugen exhaust and will need to decide whether I will add a B-pipe. The front and rear have yet to be purchased

B pipe is PURELY for sound unless you de-cat the sucker.

factory upper pipes are like 1.5 or 1.7 inches diameter, the shitty weaponR is 2 1/8 inches.

Just be warned if you go weaponR, have a welder do a QC on it and touch up any shitty welds (100% of them actually)

Oh I see, I was thinking about getting a B-pipe/res-delete-- my dad had one paired with magnaflow and it sounded pretty sweet. But he had the reso put back because he said it lossed torque in the low rpm(which killed the fun in a not so fast car lol).

I will! Got little scholarship that will pay for my school tuition that's no longer covered by my financial aid-- so my last paycheck from work is going where I originally meant for it to go

Rick had the T1R b-pipe + headers and that sounded great but I might not go that far

My Z is absurdly loud with nearly no cats and all my mods so I am trying to meet somewhere in the middle. All depends on how I end up liking the Mugen once its installed.

I really wish I could just keep my Tanabe but I don't want to hack up the Mugen rear

Everyone interested in exhaust on here needs to be aware ALL brands of exhaust companies are expecting you to maintain the catalytic converters for road legality.

You will HATE the Mugen system, and generally any offered system, once the cats are deleted. So much rasp!!

This is why I am against these big spendy exhaust systems. you can get the SAME EXACT sound for FAR less at an exhaust shop.

I do know owners of a 300zx, 350z, and a 370z. All have cats deleted, all sound AMAZINGLY awesome. They went with simple mufflers, two 22" long glasspacks on the 370z, and all had an exhaust shop weld it up and charge them less then $500.

The 370z started with a Borla catback. It SHAMES the borla system now. He actually sold the Borla to pay for the shop time and still had extra money towards his tune that he wants when he goes supercharged (or procharged, i think)

While I appreciate your opinion, I prefer to go with my own experience on this one. I will see how I like the Mugen once installed and go from there.

Since we have a regular monthly meet for the Fit community I am lucky enough to hear alot of different setups in person so I can tailor my setup based on what others have done.

I have a single Aero AR20 in the stock resonator location and a single Magnaflow 5x8x14" can in the stock muffler location. The secondary cat is gutted and piping is mandrel bent 2.25" from the secondary cat back.

This provides a refined, sporty sound that is mellow when cruising around but really screams when uncorked. Zero rasp. The drone is just there but not obnoxious and only becomes moderate with the rear seats folded chugging up a hill. I think it was a good upgrade from the Tanabe Touring Medallion I had before.

Procharger is just a company. They make superchargers. So either way it's a supercharger.

Finally fixed one of the many issues in my Fit... that being a popped fuse for the accessory socket. I hate the "assorted" fuse packs... there's exactly one of each type. Hope I don't need another 20A fuse anytime soon.

The other day I replaced the lights over the license plate. Both had managed to burn out... luckily no cops pulled me over for it. It's not like I was obscuring my plate, just wasn't lit up.

Dropping my car off on Monday to get the "dent" fixed. After that, need to go to another mechanic to check on the TPMS (have him check if its just out of battery or what not), and probably look into the P0107 code, even if it hasn't popped since last week.

But it is common to refer to pulley (turbo style) superchargers as prochargers

Simply painting a picture, as 370z's have twin plenums and a supercharger kit most likely will not be an intake replacer like old V8 style.

Got the Mini R81's on the car with winter tires today. I can't believe how amazingly light the steering feels now. I'm going to get the tires removed from the stock pizza cutters and weigh them at some point, but I'm sure the "light weight" claim is a bit off. The fact that I can flick the steering wheel and change direction so easily is amazing.

Pictures coming Sunday, most likely.

there might be other factors in there too... like the offset of the wheels... and the tires themselves.

Well all modern superchargers are pulley/belt driven. You're referring to a centrifugal supercharger. Since Procharger superchargers are centrifugal, I guess I can see why it's common to refer to centrifugals as just "prochargers."

The offset is +45 and the tires are Dunlop Wintermaxx. The wheels themselves only weigh 12 pounds.

On another note, where could I find the part # for the black AT shift selector surround? What year did they change from the silver one?

fixed my 09. car kept throwing p1028 even after i swapped thermostats so checked the water temp sensor.... found the harness was nearly severed, bare wires showing.

i think an animal tried to gnaw it through, and when it rained water shorted the two leads. cleaned up the wires and soldered them.

Swapped out my touring medallion for the stock exhaust today. Liked the medallion a lot but my gf wasn't a fan of the noise. (slight drone). Anyone looking to pick one up?
