the GK fit doesnt even resemble a fit. I still think a GD or GE looks better then the GK

I wish someone would do something about the weird shape of the front grille. The way the lights end before the bottom of the grille is just weird to me. Like someone got severely botched plastic surgery, and now the skin between their nose and mouth is all scarred and weird, and they were a hatchback.

Oo...

To me, the GK resembles the GD/GE about as much as the GE resembles the GD when the GE came out. In that, you can see the basic similarities, even if the details are quite different.

It's still a Fit... a wedge on wheels with room for crap and other shit.

Except, the GE in question is a lowered Fit... so, stock GE is equally tall looking.

Hell, I parked next to my friend a while back when we hung out at D&B. His was a 2011 with the lighter Alabaster silver compared to my 2010 SSM (it was late so the difference in color literally disappeared with only parking lot lamps lighting the area), and both Sport. My Fit was only an inch or so lowered because of Swift springs compared to his stock springs. I also have 16x7 Enkei wheels with Conti tires, so the tires were wider (20mm) and and overall slightly wider "stance" (20mm further apart, +53 to +43, x2).

And we both were surprised how much different they seemed to be... even though we knew it was only an inch (or so in each of the three changes). I mean, we're talking numbers (an inch vs a 5ft tall/wide car) that only eagle eyed folks would notice.

My clamps are mostly rusted as well. . Have a few other spots like most of the spot welds in the frame under the hood are rusted. I gave those a shot of rustproof paint. Have done nothing with clamps

yah, mine is REALLY bad.. like metal flaking off and now about 1/2 the original thickness of the clamp. it's going to snap soon and possibly leak coolant.

wat ticks me off is i checked this back a few months ago when i did the coolant drain/fill and it wasnt nearly that bad so i didnt replace the bottom two.. only the top ones...with tons of rain and excessive humidity this year i think it just accelerated the process.

i checked the same clamp on my '12 and honda improved the location.. the clamp is farther deep under the lower shroud. anyway, i bought spares so that when i do the coolant on my '12 in a few yrs, im going to swap them out as well.

nah not for coolant clamps. using factory. i never liked the ones they sell at autoparts stores. they rust even faster, and or back out sometimes.

I am waiting until I stop carpooling to work in November and I will get everything installed and will take off the rear bumper and install the exhaust at the same time. I don't want to damage my aero pieces with my gnarly commute

Rick should be at the meet this Saturday and he has the Mugen, we will both ask him to rev his exhaust for us

I never install an exterior mod I'm afraid to damage. With the drivers up here (and I realize that's something a lot of people say, but up here truly is a mecca of bad driving), I can't go about my day worrying some rig wife in an Escalade or a Chavigator her husband bought her is going to scrape or bash, then leave me a note about calling my insurance company for a quote on the damage to her car.
