Guess I should start shopping! Where did you buy your swifts from Sapper?

One of the first things I did was jack up the tire pressure to 40 f/ 38 r. Made a good difference in turn in and feel.

Exactly! She might be terrified, but she'll enjoy it. I guess I could say that about a lot of things...

Put on my Clazzios yesterday. Not perfect but I did it in 90 min and will prob add foam to spots and tighten them up after they wear in a little. They look outstanding and everybody who has seen them thinks it's an aftermarket leather job for >$1000

What did I do to my Fit over the last year or so.....


This has been a on going project but I'm done for this year. Thought I would share.

AVS Low profile window vents.
JDM Emblems, front, rear and steering wheel.
Tanabe Medallion axle back exhaust
Tanabe NF210 springs (After a bad experience with Megan springs.)
Painted the factory wheel satin black and added matching engraved center caps.
Installed a full Katskin leather interior.
Sprintex Supercharger.
K/N Typhoon cold air intake.

Yep did the install myself, it initially took shy of 6 hours to complete with the piggy back in the engine compartment. I later spent another couple of hours extending the harness and moved to the passenger compartment.
The kit I considered rather easy to install but that is compared to what I am comfortable with.
The weak part of the kit is the piggy back, which should not be in the engine compartment. It is not really water proof or even really water resistant. I drive the car year round and rain snow and salt would eat it fast.
I have had no issues since installing except one time it stalled at a light with no indication to why, I had the radio up did not even realize till I hit the gas. Started right up. Has not done it again.
Gas mileage seems better when you drive in that manner. The SC loves the gas when you get on it. I have been averaging 28 in the city, it was more like 26 before.
I may put the factory intake back on the SC whine is insanely loud, like a siren.
In summary I like the kit and I am pretty happy with it. It has made the car fun to drive.

How is the ride? Some say its close to stock.

They are a little stiffer my guess 5 to 10%. Enough that the handles nicely, but you don't feel like you got the crap kicked out of you.

Thanks, thats good to know. The oem ride quality is on the stiffer side, but I wanted to make sure not to get too much stiffer if I got springs...might even get the koni str.t shocks/struts too just to be safe

Not sure never heard the cobalt. If you jump on it and there are lots of people around they look. As it drowns out a lot of the engine and exhaust noise, at least from being in the drivers seat. I really should have someone else drive it so I can hear what it sounds like from the outside.

Was the S/C completely plug and play? No splicing wires or soldering or anything?

For the price this seems infinitely better than the K-swap I have been kicking around.

If there was some place I could just drop my car off for the weekend and get it back with a k swap ready to roll I would perhaps feel differently

It is not plug and play, and I'm going off memory at this point but you have to locate 6 or 7 factory wires, which are all at or around the ECM by the battery. 3 or 4 are tapped and I think it was 2 are cut for intercepts for the piggy back. I worked in automotive electronics for over 15 years so I am very comfortable with wiring portion and did not feel intimidated by the wiring. My guess if they were to make it fully plug and play it would add better than 500 dollars to the price since a boomslang harness for the Fit is in that price range.

Saw someone on here do a k swap, looks hard and time consuming, this took less than a day, but k swap would probably open a lot more horse power potential.

I like the new tail lights.

That exhaust sounds awesome. When you open up these engines you get a great sound out of them. Not sure if I could live with that all the time, though.

This. Can you do some fly-bys for us? How loud is it to bystanders and inside the car? Best sounding GE8 exhaust setup I have heard for sure.

had some extra blue vinyl laying around from my brother's head lights, stuck it on, heated it up and cut out the excess. Came out pretty good, not sure how long it will last but hey.
