What did you do to your GE fit today?
Kicked the built up Snow/Ice out from the Fenders. It's going to be -22F here tonight so here's praying that she won't complain tooo much when trying to start tomorrow morning for work. the ridgeline wasn't happy this AM and it was right around 10F.
Funny thing... the Wipers wouldn't clear the frost off the windshield... even with de-icing washer Fluid...
... because the frost was on the inside.
Winter is definitely here!

I dropped off my car at the auto glass shop, to have the window replaced after this weekend's stereo theft.....

But my carbon fiber license plate frames arrived in the mail

Oh, and I bought the top-of-the-line Viper car alarm and remote starter! One one hand, sweeeeet. On the other, expensive!!!!

Had my windows tinted, installed a K&N air-filter and attached my Greddy license plate frame. That was today. Tomorrow, it'll be time for the all-weather floormats. This weekend, I'm installing the Sport aluminum pedal kit, Mugen short-shifter w/ knob and the Mugen rear-view mirror cover.
(yesterday) I got a really expensive car wash right before I picked up my mom from Midway airport.
re: acj2112
That explains my mom's comments on it being 60 outside... yes, yesterday was warmer than usual, but it was no where near 60 in Chicago. But, she flew in from San Diego.
edit: installed the Swift springs.

Look really nice
Do you have the part number for the TSX center dome light with glasses holder? How was the installation?
no part number. easy install. I had to fabricate some clips to hold it in to place. That's it as far as fabrication.
not really doing anything for the fit as it is in storage but I do roll the fit back and forward on a weekly basis for my tire's sake

Did my first two mods today. Added a locking gas cap. Used a NAPA Genuine Parts #703-1720, less than $15. This is listed for the 04 - 06 Element and several other Honda's. Would have preferred it if Honda made the Fit with an inside release for the fuel door. Since they don't, and wanting to keep my gas in and nasty stuff out added the locking cap.
Easy mod, just slide the lanyard clip over (look from below to see the keyhole holding the clip to the door) to remove the lanyard. Unscrew the gas cap and screw the new one on. No problem, no engine lights from lack of tank pressure, and completely reversible if the need ever arises.
The stock cap has a ridge around the end of the neck before the threads start. This ridge is what holds the cap on the fuel door when refueling. The NAPA cap doesn't have this or a lanyard so will have to keep track of the cap when refueling.
The other mod was adding the Accord horn #38100-stk-a02, $21.96 from the local dealer. This too was fairly simple. Remove the button clips to take the plastic cover at the top of the grill off (used two smallish flat-head screw drivers to gently lever the center plungers up, then pull the clips out). Once the top cover is off, then have to deal with the plastic surround on the hood latch. This is held on with two plastic 'rivets'. I used the same two small screw drivers between the metal frame and the right edge of the plastic surround, one on each side of the pan-head rivet. By gently levering the surround away from the metal frame it pulled the rivet out without breaking it so I could reuse it.(When I got the horn I checked with the dealer, he had some at the body shop and wanted $2.50 each for them). I only took off the right side rivet, rotated the surround around so I could get to the bolt holding the horn, removed the bolt and pressed the release on the electrical connector to take it off the stock 'meeper'. Attached the connector to the new horn, attached the bolt. Once the bolt is tightened, test the horn to make sure it is grounded and honks. Then rotate the surround back in place, shove the 'rivet' back in to secure the surround.
The plastic panel that goes across the top of the grill has a tongue and groove type of catch on the leading edge that hooks onto the grill. This needs to be aligned first when setting the panel in place then all the bullet clips can be put into place. Two of the bullet clips are longer than the others, these go in the holes closest to the headlights at the ends of the panel. Once all the bullets are in place, then just press down on their centers to expand the clips and secure the panel.
I should have picked up some garden mesh/screening to put behind the grill to protect the AC radiator while I had the panel off but that will be for another day now. Can't do it all at once.
250 miles on the odometer now.

I dunno about that. I was pretty sure that "ridge" you're talking about is the actual threading.
love the ssr's...y didnt you get them more aggressive? you gotta slam it..btw how do you like the buddyclubs? i got them too...the only thing i hate is when i go up driveways, the rear compresses too much and it rubs my quarter panels and sometimes fenders.
