I don't know about "better" but there are different options. A few board members sell different ones. What I like about the Lamin-X, as opposed to my last set, is that the Lamin-X is several times thicker. Aside from providing more substantial protection for the lens, It also shouldn't burn as easily as the paper-thin film I used last time.

I'm interested in their taillight film for a slightly tinted look, so I need to poke around and see if anyone's using it.
Appreciate the quick reply.

I like that the film is thicker and like your idea of adding some yellow bulbs ( PIAA still the preferred?)

I also saw the smoked/tinted film for taillights but am a little concerned if it would be considered illegal and i would get hassled since technically you would be covering up the only red reflective pieces.
I would not be going dark as the old GTS covers but a I liked the smoked and gunsmoked film.
When I had clear tails on my 94 accord i got pulled and cited for no reflective/red material was visible on the back of the car

Just got done doing the GD Coin holder in my fuse panel lid on my GE.....I <3 IT!

Being that is is hidden under the dash somewhat 100% perfection didn't really bother me.

Took the fit to the car wash today to get the crap off of it. For $1.75, I got a quick pressure wash, Rinse, & Pressure Wax. Nothing special but it should help keep it cleaner through the winter. any time it's above freezing, a trip to the car wash is a must. It got up to a balmy 37 degrees F here today and the snow melted a little. Probably have 4" left.

Dynamat'ed the F*** outta the rear hatch, spare tire area and 1/4 panels. Learned that I probably only needed one of the bulk packs instead of two... Oh well.

Discovered that if I have the wipers on and put it in reverse, the rear wiper automagically makes one swipe! My Volvo XC90 did this and it was a fantastic touch, bravo Honda.

(2010 base MT)

LED city lights, adjusted headlights up slightly, LED license plate lamps, refined cup holder LED install with diffused 5mm blue LEDs dimmed by dual 10k resistors.

Still need to run the 4g power cable and RCAs for the amps, probably while I install my Eibach springs. That should be a whole days worth of work.

2969 miles and 32 days old. Ive got my Mobil1 5w-20 and filter ready to go.

Thumbs up

I added another set of the chrome bulbs that turn amber or white to my Fit, this time I changed out the back up light bulbs, so now the turn signals have a matching neighbor This is a mod that only someone with a trained eye will ever notice but once you show someone this mod, they really, really like it and its not terribly expensive either.

Just got my 2011 Alabaster Silver Sport model AT. While I love the ride and all its new safety features, I still miss some basic minor features of convenience that my 2001 Corolla had. ie. variable intermittent wiper, auto rear defroster switch-off, auto headlamps on/off, 2 power voltage plugins, quieter ride. I know there are threads on DIY...still......

Just added the Jazz LED third brake light after finding out it came out of the box wired backwards. Best Christmas lights ever!

paid $100 to replace a broken stud on my frnt driverside, after trying to take off tire to replace headlight for the first time since we got it 3 months ago :/ - the sucky part is the nut wasnt coming off so i gave up because i figured out that it was cross-threaded and this old guy walking by who claimed to have been a mechanic said oh just try this....2 turns later...SNAP!!..man i was mad! ANYWAYS

New floor mats...ebay, but custom cut, they fit pretty nice but not as heavy duty as i expected!...

What did I do to the Fit today? let's see... I saw what I think was my most on the road count of other Honda Fits, many that were either TWB or SSM (it was in the evening so hard for me to tell).

And the other thing? I didn't do, but had done to me. While it was parked, it got hit by some idiot squeezing in front of me (honda ody). when I got to the car, he had left only an inch of space between us, but I knew he hit me because he broke up the ice sitting on the license plate holder. I had a feeling it was going to happen, even though when I pulled into park there were huge empty spaces directly in front and behind. Should've known they would try to pack in like freaking sardines.

Unlike them, I actually cared not to touch them when I pulled out... a miracle, considering I had less room to move than they did (i mean the space between the end of my car and the next).

grrr.
