Regardless of the performance aspect, I must say, that looks really good too. Not as bulged as the sportier tire example from the other thread you posted these pics in.

In the Dodge's defense, the battery drain may have been my sister's fault (putting the phone charger into the plug that doesn't go off when you pull the key out, which is directly above it).

But man, it's got other issues... It sounds like mechanical gears without oil... but the engine has plenty of oil and no leak, so I have no idea what it could be. Shouldn't be transmission, since the noise occurs even when parked. Torque converter? Doesn't it use AT fluid? Has plenty of that. :s anyway, we're on a Honda forum, not Dodge-PITA forum.

Thanks,
Yeah I drove about 150 miles on them today. Drove and tracked great. Looking forward to having a good set of tires this fall/winter.

Much quieter and braking have greatly improved.

Officially tucked my FIT in for the winter in a heated garage. While hibernating, she's still getting a few more parts/upgrades added and coming in.

You might consider checking the sheet metal near the ring gear that is on the torque converter and also check to see if it may be contacting the starter drive gear that engages the ring gear... I haver seen those things making the kind of noise you have described.

put a tint strip on. it helps some. i missed having one though. and now on the same area on the outside of my windshield, i have a dark background for graphics if i should choose to put some there.

the tint strip wasn't your traditional "true" tine material. this was a see-through vinyl in a charcoal/smoke tint. sort of like the headlight tints.

if there is interest, i will post pics and provide link of where i bought it from.

Today I managed to put some deep scratches into the rear bumper while unloading the back. Then, later, a separate load of cargo managed to put a few holes in my spare-tire well cover. This, of course, all comes just after noticing earlier that on my fit with 5k miles my clutch pedal pad has already torn off and my floor mats worn through.

Right now I'm pretty Fit-freakin' furious.

Thought you would like to see my new PITA Dodge. It protects Taffy from the west winds.

Well, my sister "solved" her problem... well, most of it. And it only took over $2000.

When I drove it afterward, it still felt a little "off"... but I couldn't put my finger on it, plus, I was in a rush to get to the dentist to deal with getting some teeth pulled (stupid crooked wisdom teeth causing a lot of pain).

I can't say I have any facts or "real" reason to... but I've been growing more and more "anti-American" when it comes to cars. Actually, I've become anti-German car too, but that's actually because of the encounters on the road, so really, it's the drivers I hate.

Goob, those teeth are affecting your judgement - lol

Well even at 2,000 repair still cheaper than an O. My Caravan cost about 10-13,000 less.

I also deal with a small town Chrysler dealer where they all know my name and I theirs. Been going there for 14 years. They did the springs and exhaust on the Fit. Just excellent service. Not like when I went to Honda the other day for my window leak and they ask if I have been there before.
