I had a fun day!

Added the OEM visors and the center console.
My local dealer actually had them in stock! They price matched so I got the console for 180 and the visors for 53. They were originally asking 480 for the console and 150 for the visors. Crazy!

Thanks to college hills honda videos, installation was super easy. It took about 90 minutes for everything.

Some, if not, most Honda dealerships should have OEM accessories. They have their own shop there. And they are overpriced sometimes. Nice pickup though!

Yeah, I got a touch of curb rash on my OE AND Enkei wheels. The OEs are worse off since theres a bit of damage from when I took a turn a bit too fast and bounced off a curb.

C'est la vie.

It's been a long 6 day week and this thread just reminded my zombie-ass self that there is probably a package or three in the mailbox. Now I'm excited all of a sudden.

Thanks to my past-self for ordering things when you knew I'd be so busy I forgot, and so exhausted that I'd feel rewarded when I remembered.

Replaced tranny fluid again after just 650km. Mainly because of running out on circuit on the 19th. Now running Amsoil SVG 75W-90 and a touch of their Slip-Lock. Still have a hint of diff chatter, which is fine by me, the Redline 75W-90NS fluid provided full lock, but lacks any friction modifiers so I had people looking at me as I made turns. Car sounded broken to them I guess, sounded like performance music to me. haha

My DP Waterless Wash and Gloss won't be here until tuesday of next week, so I decided to borrow my neighbor's Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax Anywhere to clean up my car abit. It's the 2nd time I wash my car, the first time I've never touched the paint, just a foam bath and a high power rinse.

I did half the hood, and then I saw alot of swirl marks. The other side which I haven't gone over also had alot of swirld marks. I guess the dealership killed it before I did . The MF towel I used passed the blank CD test, so I'll rule the MF towels out as the culprit.

Re-painted the front emblem. After a couple years the black paint chipped away from wind and road debris.

Just replaced my gas cap with a locking gas cap. I didn't bother rekeying it to match my ignition. Neighbor's car got siphoned last week, then a different neighbor got siphoned last night. My Fit is garaged, so the chances of getting siphoned is lessened. Yes, I know ... locking gas caps and wheel locks only keep honest people honest.

I've said it before... and I'll say it again.

I think it's a little less useful to get a locking cap on a Fit. Most vehicles have their tanks in rear near where you pump the gas. The Fit is under the driver's seat. And as such, the filler tube that runs to it is quite long. It has to go straight down, then towards the middle and finally straight forward to get to the tank.

From the filler cap to the tank, is more than twice the distance in a Civic.

Fit: Cost about $190 from Bernardi for the assembly (#14).

Civic: doesn't come as a single assembly, but for roughly the same type parts that would... is less than $100.
