What did you do to your GE fit today?
^^what kind of leds did you use for your footwell lights? the colour blends nicely with the door sills.
I already have the ambient lighting in the front and back with the factory switch, but also Im planning to have a separate set come on with the dome light. I just wasnt sure that domelight circuit could handle the load from the door sills AND the footwells( I have the same LED sills as you)
@BMW
1. Good eye. theyre Ls460R projectors in chrome fit sport headlights with everything but the chrome rings around the reflector painted black. the "R" just means the regular Ls460 projectors were modded with a clear lens and smaller solenoid to more easily fit the reflector housing.
2. the rings are xBALED 100mm facing forwards for DRL use. youre right, the stock DRL is just hibeam at 50% power.. this would damage the hid system, so I pulled fuse 15 and connected the LED rings to a relay harness. My relay harness is triggered by my ignition switc, so i do not need to manually control them.
3. They are inside the shroud, but you can see them when they are off too as they are yellow. The yellow is only noticeable up close, and doesnt look that bad anyway.
4. Pics:

Ring is facing backwards in the first pic.
5. Parts are from TRS. Labour was done by andrew there, but i need to send them back.. Ups broke the glue holding the projectors in the housings, and the alignment is all messed up. I used the stock adjusters to at least make them non blinding, but my cutoff lines dont line up at all... sigh.
paid about 1400 total for everything. i bought the headlights and projectors used on this site.
@xxryu
I tested it out with white dip, but the finish sucked so i used paint for this application. I think im gunna stick with this look for a while. I think it might be one of those things that grow on me. What other colours would you suggest though?

Thank You for your reply Connor55,
I never knew that you could put a DRL ring inside the LS460 projector shroud!
The 2 things that had prevent me from wanting a Projector Light conversion are:
1. I want to have a DRL that turn on in similar way like our factory DRL do and you just give me the solution
2. I only want to have my Projector light conversion using LS460 projector (and not other projector because I think the LS460 is currently the best there is), but I thought they would never accommodate a DRL ring inside their shroud, and again you just show me the solution
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your guidance,
if someday I have the budget, most likely I will have the exact copy of your conversion. I hope you don't mind
the only things that I might be different is the DRL ring color,...
I think I want a DRL ring that had more orange/yellower color instead of white color,
so the orange/yellower color will looks more similar to standard factory DRL color...
like this DRL ring color in the picture below, I hope they have this kind of ring color
that can fit inside the LS460 shround like yours

Looks good... real good!
and it's functional. Helps protect from scratches, I'd do the handle bowl areas too... hmm, gave myself a Plasit-dip idea, on my Modulo's.

I love my Revo SS!
Got the new wheels put on today
)
17x8.5 str with 205/40. Not much tire stretch and pokes out a bit in the front. No rubbing issue at all but I'm not that low.

New wheels look real good. Love that type of spoke wheels.
Sweet new rims!
Well, I got busy this evening on another less glamorous project. Factory paint finish (if you'd call it that) on OEM steelies is rather thin and was showing thru, looking very dull. Got some liquid deglosser, aka No Sand, semi-gloss Rustoleum black spray paint, rags etc. Pulled the rears off, cleaned them out with the deglosser, which does a fantastic job of cutting the grimed-on brake residue. After several wipe-downs, I used a cardboard rim over the tire to cut overspray and shot 2 coats on them, inside & out. Waited a bit and stuck them back on to dry overnight, but left the pie plates off until the paint cures hard a day or two. They needed a good cleanup which took the rest of the evening hanging over the bathtub washing them. I tend to get bit OCD on these things
but now they look nice again. Pics tomorrow. Fronts get done next after pads get changed over to ceramics.

Doesn't look like a beater now
Took the rears off yesterday, cleaned and painted them. They used to be in front, so they were pretty nasty from brake dust. But that's going to change shortly as soon as I put in the Powerstop ceramic pads. I used de-glossing cleaner, aka No Sand and Rustoleum black semi-gloss. The cleaner really cuts through brake grime and won't gas you out. One can pf paint will do 2 wheels, 2 coats both sides. Then cleaned out the pie plates in the bathtub, that was a mess.

After tint and adding my Surfrider license plate frame
35% front 20% rear

I didn't want to go too dark since this is my daily and I have already been pulled over in my Z before for too dark tint lol
If you're in the SoCal area and need a good tint for your Fit I highly recommend Window Tints Etc.
