I've been thinking about getting one that's just a little bit bigger than the one I have currently (not as big as yours, but I dig it ) but I want to be able to swing the visors without messing with the mirror. I thought they might have enough room to swing in front...
They only do if you swing them all the way forward. You can still use them. The visors swing down enough to hold up the windshield sun shade when the car's parked.

btw I have had that very mirror from 3 cars ago in this one.
It would be pretty easy to take out a bulb and see if one the two filaments inside each is burnt out. Actually, sometimes it's hard to see, so you could try new bulbs. Pretty cheap, and if that's not the problem you have some extra bulbs. If that's not it...I don't know. Could be a wiring problem.

changed my oil this weekend to 5w-20 mobile1 synthetic. been driving yesterday and today...i feel like my car is straining with the 5w-20 synthetic...not sure if its just me or if anyone has this feeling too..

i did do my research before trying out the 5w20...results came back okay to use. i have a 2012 fit, they did suggest 0w20, but i know the previous years went with 5w20s

I've had mobil 1 synthetic (5w20) for two oil changes now. No noticeable performance difference that I can feel. I feel for you if you've got even LESS power than the fit normally has tho . You're sure you have enough oil in the engine ...right?

You need to measure from the WHEEL to the fender, since the wheel is what will have the offset, not the tire. Use a wheel offset calculator like this one - Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com - and enter your current rim and tire dimensions and then mess around with the other one to find what you need. If the distance from the rim to the fender is 1/2" (12.7 mm) for example, then you would want a wheel with with a ~12 or 13 mm LOWER offset than your current wheel. From there you can experiment with tire sizes for the look you're going for. If you're not dropping the car then you have a wide range of tire sizes to choose from. As far as rolling the fenders, you may still want to do that even at stock height. If took a really hard turn or even a big pot hole, that fender lip could still rub the tire. That's what happens with a flush fitment.

yea... the tyre is wrapped on the rim... if the rim comes 10 mm outside , then the tire should also come along with the rim 10 mm outside ? please correct me if i m wrong.. so the current offset is 53 mm on 5.5 inch wide rim.. and the max offset i m getting on 15 *7rim is 40 mm which will stick out the wheels 23 mm more than the stock ones ( according to rimsntires.com) .. i have half an inch space between the fender and tyre , and after this setup the wheel would stick out half inch more !
what should i do now ?

Fit is going in for Inspection and it's "B- 1" service with Mobil1. When I called and asked the Service guy what the B1 service entailed, his response was.... "REally? Are YOU asking ME what the B1 service is? Don't you sleep with the manual under your pillow?" We laughed and I agreed if I thought about it, I really knew what it was... He suggested the "B- 1" service which doesn't include the Tire rotation and a few other things which he was sure I didn't need.

I'll be driving the Ridgeline today instead as my wife works about 3/4 of a mile from the dealer and they'll drop her off at work.

B-1 means bend over for the first time. I was dumb enough to pay. Then they were going to charge me over !005 labour to replace filters which they took out under the B!. I said forget it. Did those myself.

Really a B1 is what you would get at any lube shop or less. The lube shop will be checking everything to try and sell you more.

you should check it in the morning BEFORE starting the car as oil will be settled in the oil pan. not sure why you got 0.5 over though... i usually let the oil drip for a good 25-30min.

Took advantage of the beautiful weather and gave her a much needed wash. Amazing how dirty she can get after one week.

Finished the install on my Kenwood 6990HD nav/stereo unit (love it!). Also pried off the "Fit" name plate on the tail end and replaced it with a Jazz name plate I got for less than $5 from an eBay seller in Hong Kong (free postage, even). I now have the only Honda Jazz in all of southern Virginia

This weekend: new OEM floor mats with the stays for the driver's side, a thorough inside clean-up, and an exterior wash. Maybe at some point I'll even get my Virginia license plates if the dealer I bought it from in WV ever gets around to sending me the title...

Started 2000 mile trip today, good news ave 40.5 mpg for first days drive, bad news 20 miles before end of day ran over truck tire trash, tire in path with no room to miss, knew it would be hard to not do damage, hit left fog light, and manage to flex bumper enough to pop right fog light, too. Good news is it didn't trigger the air bags and I had right stuff to put it back together, duct tape, super glue and phillips screwdriver.

A+

Should add a bag of zipties to your emergency roadside kit.

B-1 Service wasn't bad. With Mobil1 oil change, State Inspection, all fluids topped off, hinges lubed, brakes checked, Belt wear/tension checked, etc... completed, pick-up/drop-off service to/from work and not having to worry about doing any work myself (or having to find a local mechanic)... total bill was $110

Probably could have saved $20 somewhere for the same service:
A Mobil1 oil change would run $40-$50, State inspection would be another $30 and labor for the rest would be $20-$40.
Low end would have been $90, high at $120. - Paying $110 seems to be right in the middle and i'm good with that, Plus it's on my Service record.

He got .5 over because the manual says 3.8 quarts and he poured about 4.3........ we eventually figured that out.
