What did you do to your GE fit today?
Got the grey leather CoverKing seat covers I ordered through Costco, and my son put them in for me. There is a problem with one seam...extra stitching holes are in it. I am going back to CoverKing to see if they will just send me a replacement piece, rather than me returning the set. We'll see.
In my past dealings their customer support has been great.
Otherwise the install went smoothly, and I think after a day or two to let the wrinkles work themselves out, they will be great. Very comfortable.

CoverKing is coming through for me with no fuss. Last night I wrote about some extra seam holes showing on my driver's side seatback. This morning when I checked my email I found a reply waiting for me: They are sending me a new driver seatback. I have long thought the mark of good service comes through when mistakes are made...anyone can make mistakes, it's how they get resolved that counts. And the response couldn't have been faster or better than what CoverKing has done for me.

i just received and read all the fine prints of the book they sent me. Some grey areas, a lot of hoops and stipulations. Not worth the $2300+ to me. I'd rather set that money back to use for repairs for however i deem fit.
For example, it says you must have it towed to a honda dealer for teardown and diagnose which you pay for outside of "reasonable" cause of breakdown as determined by "us" and only IF its a covered part. If not you pay the entire amount regardless....well how much is that?
like who is "us" and how much is "reasonable" they don't specify, likely they mean the dealer manager and cheapest teardown cost possible.....just things like that...too many to be honest, open areas where i could easily get screwed and the parts covered are the least likely to go bad compared to 95% of the rest of the car that is not covered. Another i didn't like was that i "must" provide all reciepts and documentation to show i had proper maintenance done at the specified intervals...so if i did my own oil change, i must log it and keep reciepts, that's fine but the ink on those reciepts fade out...i know its happened many times.
Basically its the same as any other extended warranty, my dealer made it sound like something it's not and i knew i had 60 days, so no biggie but i don't like how the dealer pushed it the way they did now that i think about it. Considering all the hoops and limitations, its likely i'd be better off to pay for what i want, how i want myself unless like the tranny shatters tomorrow....but its a Honda...no worries here.

felt the same exact way when they were trying to sell me an extended warranty on my Fit. I told them when i bought my 2000 Accord I got the warranty, and nothing happened until 165,000 miles, which is 12 years later - way off the warranty. I had to replace the catback, and the ECU out of pocket.
Good for you. I knew I wouldn't want it (extended maintenance) before I closed the deal. When the finance guy really started to push it after I had said I wasn't interested I stopped, stared at him in silence a few seconds, then FIRMLY in a pissed off low voice repeated "I DON'T WANT IT!"...at that time the guy was smart enough to drop it.
I'm 61 and was prepared for this. In my 30s I was not as secure and firm in my rejection of similar stuff (payment insurance) on a 1984 minivan purchase, and wasn't as impolite. Back then I tried to reason with the finance guy to drop unwanted add-ons...it was useless...he even had the nerve to complain at having to reprint the contract to drop off charges I had not authorized. Some will pull any mind-bending trick they can think of to reach deeper in your wallet if you let them. I didn't use to hang up on unwanted solicitation junk calls either...now I do. My dealings with the finance guy were the in-person equivalent of hanging up a phone.
My advice is to decide what you want before you go into that room, and don't hesitate to "be rude" to halt the big push for extras. If you think extended maintenance is a good idea, then Buy It! But if not, don't let someone who does this every day bully you into taking it.
That finance guy pushing maintenance was the only negative I had while dealing with Dublin CA Honda on my 2012 Fit purchase in August.

Even though I don't care for pickups... that one will survive a nuclear war.
