Oh god, if the Juke NISMO was already out I would have been tempted to buy it but I am happy with the Fit.

Something has to be said about the AWD system of the Impreza, it handled really well! Did you get leather? My brother bought a Sport with leather, really nice interior.

Made my own fitted cargo carpet from 2 $6-7 carpeted mats from Lowes

Did it because I noticed my car jack was digging into the honda carpet, decided to put a stop to that.

Cut it to fit with some cheap ass scissors, looks good. Was too tired to snap pics, was working in the sun all day cleaning the car out!

I washed and waxed both Fit's, vacuumed and cleaned the interior on mine. Then went to COTA to watch some racing.

I checked my paperwork and it's not. Ironically, the factory batteries aren't covered (I've had the car 4 years) but the one they replaced it with has a 5 year warranty.

The original was probably just covered under the 3/36 warranty of the car itself. The replacment Honda battery is a 100 month battery which figures out to be about 8.3 years. If it goes bad within the first 3 years its replaced for free. After the 3 year mark it is prorated.

SS brake lines - incredibly direct feel now!

Finished up installing my SS lines this weekend. The fronts were easy money, being more accessible. The rear set was definitely more of a challenge, mainly the passenger side line was a particular PITA . The old spring clips can be tough to yank out. Temp removed park brake line bracket near the muffler to get the wrench in. Not impossible, just a challenge. Also you can't take too long when the lines are open, as gravity will drain the MC. The lines used are made by Goodridge, quality-built, no ass'y issues.

Cleaned out the drums and shoes. At 43K miles they still look new. After bleeding and adjusting shoe clearances, WOW the pedal has such a fantastic, no-slack, super direct feel, no cushyness like before (not air), and the rears are adjusted so there's only 1 firm click on the HB, and you're not going anywhere! Reverse it and haul on it, the whole back end crawls up the suspension like crazy! I believe a lot of the super-responsiveness is the ID of the SS lines is much smaller than the rubber hoses, reducing the fluid volume moved. Driving gives far greater braking confidence, almost like racecar brakes. Sensitive but not touchy.

After 3 three weeks i finally got my plastidip from dipyourcar.com. Woke up early today to dip my diffuser gun metal gray with a touch of metallizer to match my front modulo garnish. Took longer to tape and try to get a straight line and curves than dipping itself.

Think it looks good. Colour goes well with your body and tails. I painted mine black using Krylon.

tnx black3sr! i was looking at how you did it, but i'm not gutsy enough to grit up the factory paint.

for the tails, i'm not too fond of the all clear, and i'm gonna experiment dipping the surrounds red with glossifier. i haven't seen anyone do that yet. most people smoke/black dip their tails. I just want to add some pop with red. at the worst case i can always just peel it off.
