Actually, it was Tuesday.....

Put new shoes on Grover.

Was going to buy from Tire Rack, but my local service center offered a deal of free mount & balance, and free rotation for the life of the tire.

Tires are Cooper Touring CS4 in 205/50R16, and they look like they bulge out wider than the rim.

They're supposed to be comfortable, but I don't notice any difference from the OEM Dunlops with 42K miles on them.

Time will tell.....

Replaced cheesy shifter boot with red pleather to go with DecalDude's JDM steering wheel badge and installed LEDs. I always liked having lights at my feet for when I drop my McDees fries .

It's from CarMM The Car multimedia software with OBD interface and Dyno, Car DVD, Car Mp3, Car Diagnostics, Car Navigation, Dynometer . I use it to monitor the car. It was one of the programs that helped me troubleshoot my lean issue. I use DigimotoV, ProScan and Scanxl also.

I will be putting the other side of my front components in today in the passenger doors. Here is what they look like: JBL

Very beefy mid and very nice overall sound and you can throw a good amount of power at them and they will laugh at you!

They are $20 Autozone specials. I could not bring myself to getting the $80 Official Honda's. These are flexible sealed leds that I can cut and reuse in other areas like the back seats or the cup holders (will be doing soon).

Downloaded and installed pgm on my laptop, tried to use it yesterday but kept getting an error "Unable to open com port (win error code: 2)" and now this morning I have a Check Engine Light.

Scangage shows the codes to be U0029 and U0155 (communications errors), but it can't clear the codes and/or the CEL.

Anyone have any hints (other than using the dealer!) on how to take care of this problem?

Many Thanks
Alex

How are you connecting it? USB or Serial? I use a usb ELM327 device and have to have all my programs go through com4 and 9600 baud rate.

i kinda did alot today, haha put small bolts into my wing clips so now i have a tilted wing that looks sick and doesnt hit the roof!

i started comin up with ideas on how to make my car run a little cooler. and i got the idea from import tuner or one of those magazines and it said to use exhaust repair kits to seal off the edges around the rad. with that in mind i went to autozone and its only like 4$ so i said why not.... well the stuff is honestly like aluminum foil with glue on one side so i layed it around the top of the rad and it sealed perfectly! so tomorrow i plan on doing the sides.

i did an oil change using mobil1 5-20 and a kandn oil filter, then i started piecing together the diy short ram intake. i found the perfect stuff at home depot and while it maybe ghetto i dont care cuz my intake will look clean! they sell 3 in. to 2in. rubber connecters and they had a 2in to 2in one too. so if any1 else needed help finding those parts go to home depot. and either tomorrow or the next day i will be making my short ram intake.

and then i removed my rear seats and the belts and my car feels like it flys now after today my friends admited that my car was alot faster then thiers!

It sounds like you had a productive day..... I used self adhesive foil backed foam, from Lowe's, to insulate the intake and boost pipes on my supercharger.....I have my car more work to do on my car so it will be a few days until I can see if there is any change in the air intake temperature....When you do the DIY on the intake mods be sure to take a photo of what you did to your radiator, that is if you don't mind doing so...

I'm guessing sealing the RAD improves air flow thru it - huh? K_C

Yeah it makes sense when you consider that air that gets into the engine compartment that doesn't go through the radiator would cause a sort of back up of airflow that would slow down and limit the amount of airflow through the radiator....

Didn't know any better, so used the Scangage cable from the OBD port.

If I understand you correctly, you just took the scan gauge cable and plugged it into the network port of your laptop (the only port that would fit the scangauge cable probably)?

Based on the pinout for the scan gauge cable (ScanGauge II) and for the network interface on your computer (Ethernet 10/100Base-T ( RJ-45) connector pinout and wiring @ pinouts.ru), you connected ground on the OBD2 port to +TX on the network port, +CAN to -TX, and -CAN to +RX. This may have damaged the port, though the voltage used for ethernet is pretty low (<4V), so you might be OK -- I'd try to disconnect your battery for a few minutes to see if that resets the check engine light, otherwise you might be looking at a trip to the dealer .
