Anyways, my own "J's" steering wheel
Saw the link you originally posted. Looks like a good deal. I don't know why you were asking where we got the covers from if you already found it haha.

Mine is exactly the same as that one, but with a different thread colour.

I need a new one that's why I asked. Also, there was a vendor here before that sold the leather plus the red stitching. Too bad he went MIA. I'd love one in red!

got into an accident today. took my eyes off the road for a sec to check on my dog. rear ended a pickup. the other driver was fine. just a bit surprised but pretty much no damage to his pickup. my fit on the other hand...

gonna see if i can get the repair work done out of pocket vs going through insurance. looks like the hood got pushed back an inch or two. the grill however is done for.

Looking good Rei, I think people would think that DIY was helpful

Yeah that spoiler mod looks legit. Paint matching the hardware would be cool, but I kinda like the raw mechanical look of it like it is. +1 on the nice steering wheels! I want a racing wheel/quick release sooooo bad, but can't justify losing the airbag. I think the only proper way to do an aftermarket/bagless wheel is with racing seats and racing harness (for safety). But putting a racing harness in a ~100 hp street driven Fit...kind of overkill. But if I had $1500 laying around I would totally do it haha.

Driving around daily with a harness is not a really smart thing to do. I only say this because I did it once (twice actually in 2 different cars and the 2nd time I was going to play in the mountains) and as I was coming up to a main road, the road was inclined and I was unable to actually position my body to see out the side windows for oncoming traffic, because well harnessed in. I immediately stopped, removed the harness and used the normal seat belt. Yes they are definitely safer, but at the same time that safety can be an impediment.

Just got a call from a delivery company, purchased 2 new Momo horn buttons and a titan finished short antenna. Pictures to follow later today.

the CF hood has 2 minor cracks about 1-2 inches from the base where it was hit. otherwise i still have my stock hood and grill in storage. but REALLY hoping it could be fixed/salvaged. :s

the other driver despite his minimal damage decided to go w/ auto insurance to fix it. fine by me. nothing out of my pocket. possible increase of $200 over 3 years on my end. which isn't too bad..

i might go looking into a sport grill to replace the mugen style grill i lost.

Wow, that steering wheel is tiny, like 260mm? That's awesome.

V_fit: sorry that happened to you, glad the damage looks to be repairable though. Seems like the mugen lip is fine at least!

555: that's one hell of a cockpit, really love your ride. God I miss Japan.

280mm and would never want to go larger. Maybe 310~320, but even holding that now feels massive.

Thanks Connor.

Nice tilt. I did mine just a bit using bolts. What hardware did you use to raise it?

Yeah, 300 is about the largest I like myself with power steering. I've had 330 before but with a looped power rack so I couldn't use anything smaller or my arms would get tired

Today, I removed my spare tire and jack. Then I got a subscription to AAA just in case I need to tow. Prob dropped about 20-30 pounds. Feels faster.
