Very nice ride nerdsrock. I like the retrofit, it's almost exactly the same as my setup. Did you get the clear lens conversion too?

Saw this in Canadian tire today. Guess our Home Depot lips have been noticed by some companies.

Interesting, when I picked mine up from the EZlip website it didn't have that packaging.

I will look when I do my weekly run to Crappy Tire. A decent price for here too.

I still have my unopened garage door trim from the hardware store haha. Also have the 204 lip hanging in the garage. Has a crack in it from when I was "low" ha. I'm gonna just zip tie the crack and maybe put it back on the car...maybe with the diy lip under that?!?! Just kidding...

I'm sure you'll appreciate A) how little things break on this car and B) how cheap it is to fix them if they do, compared to BMWs.

Not to be a grammar nazi, but this is one of those times a comma, or lack of, changes a sentence.

"How little things break" vs "how little, things break."

Anyway, my actual point for posting was... I finally got a chance to see the treads on my tires. Apparently, my front are done for. The are almost even with the wear bar. The rear, on the other hand, have a lot of tread left (comparatively speaking). All this because i missed last tire rotation, then there's the supercharger and snow, equalling more spinning/wear.

Gonna rotate em later and hope they're usable for a little while.

try using dryer sheets (bounce sheets work) and tie around various components in the engine bay that don't interfere with moving parts or come close to hot components. supposedly works for preventing rodent damage.

and also the simplicity of this car when it comes to DIYing. everythings pretty accessible and easy to remove if you need to.

LET ME GUESS! Oracal 8300 series?
looks good, did it awhile back but covered the turn too, byr eventually took it off and went with red bulbs (had to grind off the little nub that wouldn't allow it to go in)

Did a 2x ATF drain/fill today. Old stuff was almost black, dark red almost like red wine the 2nd time. New stuff is dark pink. Done just in time to hit 50000Km, shifts are much nicer now. Damn that drain bolt was tight..

Cleaned my interior today after washing my exterior yesterday.

I also replaced my in-cabin air filter, holy crap the old one was super dirty after 10,000 miles!

85% of my miles are all on the 405 freeway in SoCal mostly in dense traffic, this is how bad the air can get

Actually that's even more wrong haha. Say it out loud, "How little (pause) things break." Doesn't sound right does it? I should have just said "how seldom things break." That would have been better. Oh well we're just car nerds not English majors!

Put new tires on. The General Tire Altimax HPs decided to shit 5 times on the sidewall on one tire, and signs of bubbling on the other 3.

Bought 205/60/15s to replace em! I thought the new ones were Falken Zeux ZE-512s but they are the offbrand exact replacements of them. Guess Falken likes to promote a tread design for a few years, then renames the tire but keeps the tread the exact same.

Oh well, got them installed for $350 overall!! VERY VERY smooth, extremely quiet, and a ton of grip! I think I found my new tire of choice.
