I think that type of exhaust is harmful. Those tips can get very hot and on a crowded stop light, it can be harmful to people crossing especially for those people that cross in between cars.

Haha, don't break the law jaywalking, then. That's easy enough.

Who gives a shit if his exhaust is the ugliest thing he could of done to his car, the main point here is that it is in fact his car! He's not hurting anyone with it, and I guarantee no one is being defrauded or harmed by excessive noise.

You can have your opinion, everyone is entitled to that. But don't come on a message board attacking someone's poor grammar and then force your views upon them.

Edit: Just saw you were from Canada, that sense of free will probably isn't as strong up there.

thank you for helping me out and for the others thank you too!

and as for not having a muffler idk about that some companies have offered y pipes as mufflers(i have seen one for old z's), but besides all that the cop never said i didnt have a muffler, idk if he knows what that is or maybe he is a car guy too but the whole point of this post was that the cop pulled me over for modded exhaust and couldnt even tell me what was wrong about it but he only saw the side of my car when i drove past him and he was 3 cars back, and he still followed until he could pull me over. you guys read the conversation i wanted to kno what specificly was wrong and he couldnt tell me...

and so what if i cant type, well i can but this is fitfreak.net your not my professor at sfsu so im not going to try to spell correct, im going to type like i txt and use things like idk and not put " . " at the end of everything

Before there were law enforcement officers that see themselves as authority figures that demand respect there were peace officers that saw themselves as fellow citizens that had a duty to protect and serve and they had respect...... It is just wrong to not question authority when the reason authority is being exercised is bogus..... If the laws are just and fair there is no reason to exercise your right to question a person's duty to enforce those laws..... This is not the same country where I was born anymore.

Would throw another rep your way TC, but it said I can't. The sad truth is we will never see the country we once knew again without a major internal revolution. The other sad part about that, it seems the masses of the US are weak-minded and like to be told what and when to do something. It gets worse each passing day...and don't take this too literally for those that might. It's a compounding problem with no real end in sight. If there were such things as time machines, the nation's fore-fathers would be ready to go to battle once again, because what they wrote down is not what is actually practiced today. I don't want to hear the crap that times change either, because yes they do, but the fundamentals that set up this country should never change. We hardly can call ourselves the United States of America, more like the United States of Borrowed China and Middle Eastern Subsidies. It's pathetic really and I'm only going to be 38 in July and even in this short time things have gone apeshit. Younger people may not see or feel what I and those older than myself are talking about, but the US is not the US in any way shape or form that it once was, which was a GREAT nation and not this one of 'government you do for me, make my decisions for me, I need you'.

I think if annunc8 reads this I may just fire him up... hahaha

Wow this has stranded off topic pretty much.

The cop's job is not to ask "why." They are just the ones enforcing/applying. We have a legislative process...if the law is bogus or does not apply, go watch some schoolhouse rock and start lobbying to get it fixed. Arguing with the cop or even the judge is not the way to get it fixed. If you want to know why, look up the wording of the law or maybe ask your representative.

But something tells me that's not what this is about anyway since in your other thread you flat-out declare that you know you will get heat from the cops for this set-up sooner or later. Yet now what you predicted would happen has happened...and you seem surprised and annoyed.

ya ur right in my old post i did. but before i knew how out of the way and harmless my exhaust was. i said that stuff, when i said that was when i first got it done but now i feel like it isnt bad and could possibly be legal. i got on another forum and it was an xb who has almost the same design as me but alot taller pipes and he thinks his is legal too cuz its under 11 ft.

Stoves, lighters, matches, etc, don't sit in places where it's easy to brush up against them while walking in parking lots. 300 degree exposed metal is dangerous and a hazard to everyone else.

Its a hazard to everyone, not just kids. It violated bumper laws. depending on how side is defined in the law, it violates the law about where exhaust can be vented. Its clearly hazardous and you would be negligent for any injury occurring from touching it.
