That's fine if the dealer does something. But I'm just saying, depending on the service department, you may get blown off. And, to point out an earlier error of mine and yours, the actual total oil capacity per the manual, counting what is staying in the engine when you drain the sump, is 4.4 quarts.

If were talking about a 1 quart oil consumption after 10,000 miles, that not bad considering most auto manufactures say 1 qt per 1000 miles is normal. I dont think 1 qt per 1000 miles is normal but 10000 miles is actually very good. You should not let the oil go down to 1 qt but add as needed so its always full. Changing the oil when a qt total is added.
Changing brands can cause oil consumption because of different base stocks and additives. Thats why you should not change brands especially in a high mileage car. Alway check the oil before startup in the morning because when you check the oil after shut down oil is still on the engine parts and hasn't run down to the oil pan, it takes 15-20 minutes for that to happen so oil level in not right.
