There are a lot of variables. Sales tax, accessories (dealer prices and installed prices vary), warranty,trade-in (upside down in your trade or not), document frees, gap insurance, state licence fees. I'm sure I've missed some things. These things are mostly negotiable.

Just throwing out your final number doesn't really tell the whole story, You'd have to list everything on your sale.

I've said before and I'll say it again. I'm amazed at how so many of you are getting such great deals. I'm about to sign the papers on my 4th Honda Fit Sport 5MT (previous 2007, 2011,2012) for just under Edmund's TMV and significantly less than truecar.com's pricing for my area and it still isn't close to what some of you pay.

Anyhow, I'm getting a midnight plum for $17600 + TTL. It does come with tint, that little plastic storage thing in the back and all the fluff they wanted to charge me a ridiculous price for (e.g. paint sealant lol).

I paid $21,788 at the end of August 2012 for a white 2013 Fit Sport w/ no Navigation. I got it the first day it arrived to the dealer. This included the interior lifetime insurance and roadside assistance package. I live in NJ.

Sale price in 94550 for a 2013 Fit Sport 5MT was $17,500. Add an $80 doc fee and $1,582.20 sales tax (9%) calculated on that subtotal, then add to that $20.50 for an electronic vehicle transfer fee and $219.something for license and registration for a total of $19,402.

2013 Fit Sport, White, 5manual, std radio (no nav) $17939 +tax fees plate etc = 18693. And this was with no haggling, just sticker price essentially.

Just got a 2013 base model in white with automatic. Paid $15998. including dealer document processing charge. Was about $17.5 k out the door after Calif. tax and license.

Got this by going through Costco to get their price and then negotiating it a little more (got not quite $200 more reduction). Have Covertech car cover, Husky floor mats and Covertech wetsuit seat covers (through Costco again) on order. Also paid $1.50 for long tire valve stems because it was too hard to grab the little short ones it came with.

So far so good.

Hi, i'm new here too and was going to ask about this too. I am buying a fit soon and ive had 2 quotes before. One was 19,080 the other was 19500 at some other place. I live in Illinois and sales tax for new cars are 7.5% in DuPage county. I'm jealous of all your cheap taxes. But anywho i shall be buying myself a new 2013 MT fit at the end of march

If there's a Costco near you, I recommend going through them. It got rid of 90% of the negotiating hassle up front. Well worth the $50.

Good hot dogs, too.

Dealer wouldn't really budge from msrp, had to haggle with them to give me more for my trade-in. 2013 Sport.

Traded for one...

I did an even trade for a 2012 MINI Clubman (base, not sport) with automatic transmission, 20,500 miles on it, in the unpopular ice blue color and with a whole lot of dog hair included.

Was OTD with 2013 Fit, MT.

I just bought a red 2013 Honda Fit base w/ manual transmission for $15,791.50. After tax it came to $16,580.55. I'm pretty darn pleased with the outcome of my negotiations. The car MSRPd for $16,215 and the dealer invoice was (apparently, though I don't believe this) $15,800.

Granted, not everyone wants the m/t. Also, I didn't spring for or demand any extra gear like floor mats, leather steering wheel, cargo mat, etc. I

Congrats on the Fit! This seems like a great buy!

I bought a 2012 Fit in January. I know this is for '13s but I did buy it in '13 despite it actually being a '12 model.

Vortex Blue Sport M/T. I bought the car "used" with 30 miles on it and was able to get a CPO warranty of 7 yr / 100,000. Clear title but the car's hood got scratched while being unloaded from the truck and had to be replaced. They used a Honda OEM hood so I was able negotiate down due to the fact that it wasn't "NEW" and made them make it a CPO. Rare find, had to buy. And they came up to what I wanted on the trade...

MSRP + Dest
---------------
$17,780
I paid $16,299

Doc Fee $149
I paid $0
Told them it was bullshit and wouldnt budge, they waived it.

Trade, 04 Civic EX w/ 133k
$5,200
Good, not great. Probably could have got another $300 on the streets but then I would have had to deal with PEOPLE

w/ Taxes, 7%
OTD
$11,875
and now, the payments...

I bought automatic base model for $16000 $375 to dealer for whatever...docs, delivery, etc. Maine sales tax is 5% so $800. Pick of colors but chose dark gray. Using Bernardi for accessories. Cute car!

Bought mine for msrp. (15,400) With Santa Barbara taxes and fees came to 17,515. It's going to be very difficult to save much off msrp since these cars are priced so close to invoice and they are in high demand. The only negotiating I did was I told them there was no way I was paying $500 for the vin etching and edge guard the dealership installed. I said I'll take it right now for msrp and the guy shook my hand and I drove it home. So I guess I have a free vin etch and edge guard?
