I'm sure 2008 models shouldn't have too many changes except the colours for 2008 models.

To the extent that it will not be the next-gen Fit, this is highly likely to be the case.

I've read that dealers are already getting information about 2008-model Fits that are essentially the current model. I do think the production run will be short, though, since the US market will see the 2nd-generation Fit some time in calendar year 2008.

Thats somewhat useful. thanks. My wife is wanting a Honda fit real bad. But she didn't want to get the same car as I do. Maybe now she will...

I'm excited to see how they turn out. But who isn't...

Japan Report: Honda’s New Fit Will Be Longer, Wider

At least that's what winding road says.

They may be right. What I have heard from Japan is that Honda has developed a completely new platform for the next-gen Fit. It may be to accommodate the size change.

At the same time, in the markets other than NA, making a car like the Fit larger is not necessarily a good thing. Some people buy the Fit precisely because it is small and spacious, and even a little sizing-up can have practical consequences among the potential customers of the Fit, such as the new car not fitting in the present parking spaces. To make the Fit wider and longer has its own risks.

Of course, we will have all the answers this fall.

Just a question did anyone try to open your Fuel Door and get the FUEL on it! Did your FIT ALARM?

I wakeup this morning going to work. I notice that my FIT Fuel is Fu*Ck*ng EMPTY! I just put FULL TANK gas yesterday!

Do you guys know where I can buy FUEL DOOR with LOCK? any web site?

I HOPE THE 2008 HONDA FIT have FUEL LOCK! I will trade-in my 2007 FIT to 2008 FIT if they have FUEL LOCK!

*GAS or FUEL COST to much! THATS why people stealing FUEL !

Consider getting a locking fuel cap. I plan on doing it in the near future especially if you park outside over night. They officially don't have a locking fuel cap for the Honda Fit but the Honda Element locking fuel cap works for the Honda Fit and there have been no problems so far.

check out Honda Parts and Honda Accessories from Bernardi Parts

Looks longer and wider to me...Not sure if this is what it'll look like exactly, though.

That maybe a drawing of the next Fit but it looks like the turn signals and parking is LED integrated into a seperate high beam?

The overall style looks nice, but I can't stand that Ford 500 style front grill with 3 broad chrome bars.

Its looking a little too Mazda 5. If thats the direction the Fit is going, I am sure it will sell. The only problem is it might lose the sporty persona of the car just like the mazda 5, slowly becoming a minivan. Then again, that is a mythical rendering just like all the rest.

Clearly those bumpers don't meet US spec, so add about a half-foot mentally to the rear and front somehow...

Correct. In Japan, it is very important to keep the overall length of this kind of car under 4 meters, and the width under 1.7 meters (the latter for tax reasons). Since such limitations do not apply in the U.S., the length will be upped for the NA Fit. The width will be the same for JDM and NA Fit.
