Yeah it's 205/45x16. I don't know what honda was thinking. They've always been around +45 offset.

If your wheel was 42 to 45 mm offset you'd be ready. The 205/45x16 tire is perfect for the 09 Fit.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll roll the fenders a bit then. By brother In law works at a dealer and said I can bring my car over and swap out the wheels on an 09. At least this way I'll see what I'm up against.

While you're at that do us a favor.
When you re-install the stock 16" wheels on the 09 put a 1/4" - 6mm -stack of 9/16" washers on the 4 lugs between the wheel and the hub (or a 1/4" spacer) on one of the front hubs and then see where the stock wheel/tire/tread sets compared to the fender arch. DO NOT DRIVE ANYWHERE ! You'll barely have nuts on the lugs. R&R of course.
If you can take a photo that setup it would be great.
When we had the 09 in here we only had time to install a set of 205/40x17 tires on 7x17/42 wheels and they fit only because the 205/40x17 tire is much smaller than the stock 185/55x16 tire but it was close!. We'd like confirmation.
And so would a lot of others.
cheers and thanks.

I am too looking for either 16X7 (195/50/16) or 17X7 (195/45/17) for my daughter's white Fit. Can not find any wheel with more than et42. I believe I should be looking for ET 48 right? Eventually the car will be lower by 1".

Until you said lowered by 1", I was ready to say the 195/50x16's may work on 42 mm offset 16x7's because the wheel pushes out only 0.94" nd tread width is only 1.15" further out toward the front fender arch that the stock wheel. That you camn measure with a ruler..
When you lower that arch by one inch that shouldn't matter much on compression as the wheel also adds negative camber the same as unlowered but when the wheel is steered left or right there could be interference.

Try this:
Hang tape or foam 1" down from the inside of the fender arch and tape thick foam pieces to the tread edge of your stock tire and wheel.
Drive around slowly in a circle both left and right to see what happens.
If they interfere you can expect interference.

PS if you're looking for better stance how about adding 1/4" spacers to stock wheels, effectively increasing offset to 47 mm. Costs heckava lot less money and fills the wheel well nicely. The spacers are available in most car stores and certainly on line for about $40 to 50 per 4 wheels.

Good luck.

Do you need new wheel studs for 5mm spacers? It's not a big difference, but Eibach seems to indicate that the wheel studs need to be replaced.

Most of us know that the resale value on your car plummets when the wheel arches are 'modified'. On hipo cars and Hondas its the first thing appraisers look for. In many cases now the appraiser will refuse to take the car in trade, meaning you are at the mercy of 'wholesalers'.
.
that is a completely false statement.

I didn't on my Fit; still had 7 or 8 'turns' (1 turn = 360 rotation on the theads) on the lugnut. The rule is you need the number of turns that make engagement the same as the diameter of the lugbolt. For Fits is a 12x1.5 thread, meaning 1.5 mm per turn on a 12 mnm diameter bolt. So in 8 turns you get 12 mm. we've gotten by with 7 so many times that we don't mind if its only 7 turns. An old machinist told me the rule really was for the root diameter of the bolt so that would be 7 turns on a 12x1.5 bolt. He seems to be right.
We have had people try to tell us only 3 threads are needed but don't believe anyone who tells you that. Its not in the machinists handbook.
good luck.

It absolutely is true. I know several appraisers and they all look for mods on cars no matter who makes them. If you don't believe me go to one of the used car auctions and see for yourself.
Put yourself in a buyer's shoes: would you buy a vehicle that has been obviously modified by unknown persons without a healthy price reduction?
Neiter would I. I don't know what else has been done I can't see. So count on a severe discount.

I've got a question. I'm thinking of getting the 08 Honda Accessory wheels which are +55 and running a 205/50R16, which will maintain the stock diameter. Seeing that tirerack says a +42 is safe with a 185 section width, my setup should be ok to the fender. Do you think this would rub on the inside though?

I think that will work and no interference inside but since I don't have an 09 handy I suggest you feel around behind the stock 185's and see if you can find any triling arms, brake lines, antisway bars and the like that could interfere. And see just how close the tread will be to the fender arch; you can tape 5 mm thick foam (type used to insulate doors, windows) to the tread edge outside and radially inside to see if anything interferes.
good luck.

I currently have 4x100, 17x7.5 wheels with a 45mm offset, mounted with 215/45/17 tires.

By going through this long thread... I'll take it that I will have fitment issues for sure if I were to bolt these on?

These rims are currently on my Civic (EM2), and I'm looking into purchasing an 09 Fit soon. It would be ideal if I could get these to 'Fit' somehow.

Can anyone verify this?

I can verify that you will have fitment issues. i just tested some 16x7 +45 rota c10's w/ 205/45/16 and they set perfectly flush with the fenders anything under +45 will stick out. and my camber is the only thing that made it possible i am lowerd about 2in's and before i was lowerd the same wheels stuck out about 1/4 in and now that i am lowerd they set flush.
