195/50R15 on a 15x10 with an et of -10 to -20 ish... we dont really know lol.

No rubbing if you dont count the rim on the caliper carrier.

Need 4mm spacers or to grind off the carrier a bit....

Don'tcha just love it when the fringe puts 7.67" wide tires on 10" rims.

XD I dont even like it... For $250 for a set of 4 straight rims and some semi usable tires I can deal with it.

Sticky 205's this summer for sure.

Hey guys I'm planning to get 16x7 +40 rota grid with swift springs. What kind of tire size is perfect for daily drive?

I wanna get em002's. For 16x8 +20, what size tires will I need? I still need to roll my fenders. I don't want too much stretch though. Just enough so that I don't rub.

185/55-16. I ran them on 16x7's and they have no stretch and will give you plenty of clearance. If you want wider, I would go with 205/50-16, but be prepared to possibly roll your fenders.

185/55-16, and be prepared to pull your fenders. What you are proposing is pretty aggressive for a GE8 Fit.

I'm running 215/40/17 Toyo Proxes 4 w/ 17x7 1/2 +43 Volk CE28n lowered on Tein Coilovers. My front is lowered to 1 finger and back to 1.5 fingers. Since all our fingers are different sizes if you want to measure on a flat surface from the ground to the fender the front is 23 3/4" and the back is 24 1/4". The only side that slightly rubs when I hit a huge dip is the driver side and only the fender liner is rubbing no metal.

I posted up a thread saying hi with some pictures of the car...

Hope the info helps..

What will you all suggest attaining to have a least possible rub?

Rim specs:
17x7.5 +45mm offset
Tire Specs:
205/45/17

currently not having any rubbing with stock springs and shocks. I want to lower it a little and not sure what combo will likely not have or the least possible rubbing

1. Tein H-Techs
2. Eibach Pro Kit + camber bolts

I have around 3-3.5 finger gap front and 4-4.5 finger gap rear with my current set-up. Thanks!

any recommendations to jusdt roll the fender etc has lots of work to do it right and has a good chance ruining resale value.
i'am lowered on progress springs 1.2F 1.0R running 17x7 +42 with 205/40 tires and the fender gap looks like same with stock springs and 16's. no rubbing at all. so would a 205/50 fill the gap better and NOT Rub?

A 205/50-17 will be a huge tire to try and run on the fit. The reason your gap looks similar is due the fact that 205/40-17 is a smaller diameter than the stock 185/55-16. A 205/45-17 will reduce your gap and be fairly close to the correct overall diameter.

Lowered on Swift Springs.
hummmm.... i wonder how bad the same dws 205/50/16 you got, but 16x7 ET40 would do with -1.5 camber up front...

i got the rota boosts wrapped today but i think it's going to rub like hell as it's pretty wide. im also on swifts.

forgot to update. ive not taken my car over huge dips or bumps, but so far no rubbing with swifts 16x7 ET40 wheels running 205/50/16 DWS. -1.5 camber dialed in on the front.

will see next weekend how it does on the expressway.... im going to an area known to have nasty dips.

UPDATE 10/16: quick update my setup did not rub. going to add 5mm spacers on the rear later on so ET40 front ET35 rear. will post updates again.

damn... im trying not to do that!

i want to see if i can keep the factory tab for the front fender liner as-is. hootie recommended me tuck it above the metal tab and push it up. i know for sure that will fix if i encounter any rubbing. but i shouldn't need it at my ride height and camber setting.

I didn't want to mess with mine either, but with the wheel/tire/suspension setup I'm running I didn't have a choice. I am now "Clearancing" the fender liners (read: letting the tire slowly wear it down) without worrying too much since I found out the liners are less than $45 apeice new.

i found my current setup doesn't rub even on big bumps with 2 adults + 2 kids onboard, so i am okay. but i am probably no where near as low as you are since im just on Swift springs.. with a full load i might be about your ride height with no one on board. not sure.

my setup is 16x7 ET40 205/50/16 right now. going to push the rear by another 5mm later in the week. i dont expect any problems.
