Door step protector
Door step protector
It is very tempting for people getting into the car to use the door step (the part otherwise covered by the door when the door is closed) to rest their foot. The steps are only covered with paint and in winter here people often have sandy slush on their boots which is starting to scratch our steps. Is there a custom fit rubber pad or protective surface for this area, at least for the front doors?
These are probably the fanciest: https://www.collegehillshonda.com/pr...2-T5A-101.html
Then on EBay there are non-illuminated door sill protectors. There’s the faux carbon fibre textured adhesive stuff too.
I bought a roll of this stuff (Amazon Canada) and it was pretty good, but I switched it for conventional paint protection film cause it looks cleaner. I got a bout 10 ft of 4 inch and 6 inch wide paint protection film for a couple bucks so hard to complain about the value. It’s the least ‘tough’ material, but for boot scuffs as long as no ones wearing metal cleats or has shoe soles filled with rocks, it’s been more than enough.
