Hey Jason, if you are able please ask one of the Honda officials if they will be coming out in the near future with a Fit "Sport" model. Something with the ground effects, larger (extended) rear spoiler and leather wrapped steering wheel just like we've had since the 2007 model year (April 2006). The JDM Fit RS = USDM Fit Sport. I would love the JDM Fit RS in orange! There's no way that the EX is the equivalent of the Sport as I've heard it being described as. The Sport wouldn't have the moonroof or the push button start or the 7" touchscreen audio display.

Trim levels are supposed to be LX, EX, and EX-L. The Sport would fit right in between the LX and EX trims.

If there are various trim levels with options I can already see the wait times growing.

and also where is the event you are going to? my GM, parts and service managers are going to the "party" in San Antonio Texas on the 2nd of april, and if I have it my way I want to be able to tell them everything I can about it (via this thread) before they even lift off at the airport to go! LOL LOL LOL

I'm leaving tomorrow and it's a 3 day event, but the good stuff is really only in the middle day, the other 2 are fillers lol. It's going to be located in San Diego so I will be driving down there tomorrow!

Morning: Breakfast & Technical Presentation
Afternoon: Street Drive, Lunch, and Competitive Driving

Please take a notice of the VIN numbers of the cars and the options on each. It can be useful information including making sure the cars that are being shown to the press are indeed from the Mexico factory.

Obviously the cars shown at the January Auto shows were made in Japan, as the Mexico plant was not yet in operation in January.

 

I'll make a note of the VIN, but most likely they won't have any, like pre-production cars or something
