Arrival Begins!
So far it has been posted or viewed that Indiana, Michigan, Georgia, California, Austin Texas and Illinois now have cars on the lots. Not a lot but a nice start, means cars are in transit and we should all be seeing some in the next week hopefully.

You can add Austin, Texas to that list.
Just got word from my dealer that they are currently unloading 9 Fits.
Two have deposits on them.
For some reason they won't be ready to test drive until Thursday.
I guess I'll be checking them out day after tomorrow.

Couple people have mentioned Thursday, I suppose for them to do the PDI before delivering.
You can download the Fact Sheet a PDF or print or mail it to yourself.
Maybe they are doing their training, or adding accessories to them :sMine tomorrow!!
Did you look on cars.com to see if you dealer has his cars listed?
Note that cloth floor mats are standard equipment in the EX, so don't let them charge you extra for them.
Unfortunately I won't be buying any of the 7 they have left.
I'm holding out for the blue, and they don't have any blue EX models in the first shipment.
I'm hoping to go in on Thursday to do a test drive and check it out.
Assuming I'm not surprised by anything then I'll sit down to deal with the details of buying.
EDITED TO ADD:
Thanks for the tip on the floor mats. Good to know.
Big Shipment
Good news for those on the East Coast. Here is the story. Honda contracted with a company named MOL to ship automobiles from both their East and West Coast ports. I have been monitoring both ports and now for the first time I identify a MOL ship heading for the East Coast. Honda ships on the East from the Mexican Port of Veracruz to several US ports with Brunswick GA identified as one of the major ports. The MOL ship Florida Highway left Veracruz on June 8th and is scheduled to arrive in Brunswick on Thursday Jun 12th. This ship is capable of carrying thousands of automobiles. The West Coast is not as lucky. From the Western Mexican port of Lázaro Cárdenas shipments are scheduled for San Diego and ports north, I see no movement. Honda also ships by rail but that's impossible to trace. Honda has special rail cars that can hold 22 Fits and they have 400 rail cars. Shipments are straight from the factory North into the US.

I'm getting mine (silver LX manual) from Dallas! Long drive for me, but Houston isn't getting any manual trans until at least July.
Congrats! You will have an awesome opportunity to report on your initial highway mileage. Nothing like 1,000 miles on your first drive!
Safe trip and advance congrats!!!!

Don't forget - tons of pics!!!
Great going gurl! Please make note of engine RPM @ 60 or 70 mph and post the results! I've had a CVT since '98 and really want a manual...just not one that's geared for performance instead of economy.
