March, April, May - IMO doesn't matter as long as no imperfections for today and the coming years of service.

Like that OEM cargo mat. Was thinking I should get Weathertechs but now, no more. Let's see if I can get those thrown in when I p/u mine. Paying full pop here so maybe they'll cave. (doubt it)

BTW, your pics, including the first ones, have pretty good resolution. Don't tell me its your phone???

Katzskin made in Canada. Us here usually opt for Clazzio's (Made in Japan). 1/2 the price, same good quality and easy self-install.

Its one option that's not needed where I come from (at least for me). Leather tends to toast asses in this region.

Just a heads up for potential GK owners:

I have an Elemmat for my Fit. It's a custom full cargo mat. It comes in two pieces, on that covers the trunk area permanently and another that can be rolled up and stored in the trunk and deployed to cover the whole rear seat area when they are down. They do a great job at protecting the upholstery if you are like me and carry music equipment that is made of metal and that could rip or damage the terrible upholstery that used to be in the GD and GE.

I think the OEM cargo mat was about 75$ and the Elemmat is 100$ and the later replaces the need for the cargo mat and accomplishes more. I got great service from Tony at Elemmat.com and if you mention that you are a member of Fitfreak, he might throw in a discount. Strongly recommended.

Mine did not come with that.

Got mine today! Was hoping for a gray EX, but the Austin Fits were flying off the lot this week, and they weren't sure then the next batch is coming, so I decided to upgrade and get the gray EX-L. LOVE it! First new car in 14 years.
Feels very spacious...haven't tried to put my bike in the back yet.
Did a few in-town errands, and on the last segment from a shop to home, averaged 35.6 mpg (part of that on highway).
Pretty excited!

Going to get tint and side molding.

editing to add:
Curlgurl...I hear ya on the hot seats, and debated that point, as I wear shorts all summer. Might put some sort of seat cover on if I start getting too sweaty. Or get some maxi-dresses.

I do like that (at least for my test drive), if you have a bottle of water in the top left cup holder with the AC on, your drink stays cold!

Another congrats!!! Terrific average mpg. Did you have the a/c on like emiril did??? If so, that's even better than expected. My GD gets only 24-28mpg with A/C on (70% city).

Unlike most of the new FF GK owners, you forgot only one thing - Pics!!!!

Enjoy the drive.

OMG, yes...it's Texas! 93 degrees out, so of course the AC was on, but not blasting fast. and had it on Eco mode.

Will get a photo up tomorrow, but just got 2 bikes in the back with only the larger "half" of the back seat folded down and could easily carry the bikes, a bit of gear, and a 3rd person in the car! Not quite as much storage as my previous Xterra, but reasonably close.

What you said about being able to use the armrest was one of the first things I noticed. I am 6' and have ro put the seat all the way back so for me it is at least somewhat useful, anything forward of that not so much .

I am having a blast driving the Fit and you will too, enjoy!
Unfortunately not. I checked again and there's just the power plug, so I would need an adapter. No biggie, $6 fix!

I love this car! I can't wait to put all the aftermarket bits inside.

Hey fit2tri, let me know how you feel about that leather in the coming days. I'm debating the EX-L vs the EX right now. I also live in Austin, and it's the heat here that is making me gunshy on it.

Also - do you mind sharing what you paid in total?
I was quoted $22,170.15 out the door for the EX-L.

Then taxes and registrations on top of that?

Question for those that intend to buy seat covers, i looked at some locally and they said do not use with side airbags, do the better covers come with an allocation to allow the air bag to deploy if need be, like perhaps it is just velcroed along that seam?

Added on $834 (plus tax) worth of stuff (letting them tint, side molding, interior protection stuff--some of which may not be necessary, but I'm hard on cars), and with TTL paid 23525.
I'll admit...I was looking for the EX, but have been without a car for a month and got sort of excited to get any model in the color I wanted.

Will keep you posted on the leather. I pretty much exist in shorts all summer, but might have to wear more skirts to have a little more leg protection against sweating on the seats. Or put some sort of cover on them for the hot months.

Leather seat cover from Clazzio!!! Watch their video on air bag deployment.

GK5 kits should be available shortly now that retail sales have started.

As for my cloth seats, am going the "cheap" route. 4 cans of 3M Scotchguard!!!

I'm not sure if that question was directed at me, Sas.
But just in case - no, the price I was quoted was the absolute total, tax/title/license included.

$22,170.15 for the EX-L.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Still debating whether or not the EX-L difference is worth $1666 more in price.

Here is an odd question, on the front lower right bumper is a plug about 2-1/2" diameter, i pried it open and it looks as if a rod would fit back into it. An access hole for a tool perhaps?

OK...took one for the team today, and hopped into my EX-L that had been parked in the driveway uncovered at about 1 p.m. and drove out to close to Bastrop (about 30 miles?). In shorts. 90ish degrees and sunny out. Car took several minutes to cool down (AC on, windows partly down) and my legs got fairly sweaty on the leather seats. It helped a little bit to have the AC blowing hi/lo, but I did want to device some sort of cover for the sweat--maybe just on the seat bottom, but not on the back. (or maybe I'll just keep a towel in the car to sit on for some trips.) But the seats themselves did not feel too hot to sit on when we got in the car.

Parked under a shade tree (windows cracked open) at our destination for not quite two hours, and when we got back in the car, it didn't feel hot at all, and I wasn't sweaty on the return trip.

Averaged about 37 mpg per the car computer today.

Also...started a different thread today about how the bikes fit. Roomy!
