Any words of advice (or warning) about Palm Harbor Honda, SR45? If it's not impertinent, would you share the name of whomever gave you the sheet in case I get someone who is clueless?

Now I'm excited!
Dang!! 36 years! Dude you are gonna be in heaven! LOL Good luck and keep us informed.

Visual external LX vs EX differences

Three easy visual differences between the models.

1. LX does not have the chrome "grin" strip across the front grille. Instead it is an all black grille.

2. LX has the silver plastic wheel covers with "bent" spokes, on 15 inch steel wheels, instead of the 16 inch alloy wheels with "straight" spokes.

3. Just discovered... Looks like the LX has a black finisher across the bottom of the rear hatch window, rather than the chrome one seen on all the factory photos of EX models. The few pictures or video I had seen of LX's showed only the front or side view, so rear trim wasn't visible.

4. LX doesn't have the right lane change camera assist, so no bump/wart on the underside of the right door mirror. Of course this is not visible in all pictures or views.

Nice to see the pics.. Thank you..

BTW, am liking the blacked out grill and rear hatch. Not because I have an LX on order, but rather think it gives it more of a "sporty" character. Mmmm, will definitely go well with those JDM RS emblems I purchased.

Guys/Gals, don't forget to let us know any mods/accessories your planning!!!!

How difficult do you think it is to swap the front and rear trim pieces?

I'd like an EX, but I can't stand those chrome strips.

That's good to know. I'd be going for Crystal Black Pearl anyway so I don't even think the bare LX pieces would look that weird.

Then I'd just need to swap over the leather shifter and steering wheel wrap from the EX-L and I'd have the perfect car!

Mine arrived today and is currently going through PDI so picking it up in the morning. I'm kinda glad it will be a later VIN than what I was originally given because no one knows for sure what the delay was about.

And I know that many are curious about the unique differences and details of the LX vs the EX. Some things that I am curious about are:

1. What brand and Specific model of tire is fitted to your LX?

2. We have heard about but not yet seen the LV CVT unique underbody aero bits. Could you try to take some pictures under the car?

3. The fabrics used on the LX are different than those used on the EX, could you take some close ups of the seats and interior door panels.

4. Finally, I am sure some want to know more about the audio system, the phone connections, the sound quality and any other comments about the function of this unit.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
1. The tires are Firestone FR740. 185/60R15 84T.

2. No idea about a unique underbody but it looks pretty flat to me. As in I couldn't see any pipes or anything. No idea how unique that is. I'll post some pictures in a moment.

3. Seat pictures coming up.

4. I like the sound so far, decent bass, good volume and I'm very glad I have an actual volume knob. I didn't have a whole lot of time to play with it but I was able to pair my phone via bluetooth and stream mp3s to the car stereo. I was also able to dump a bunch albums to a thumb drive and plug that in and play, though the folder structure display is funky.

On a different note I read in the manual that you could set up custom wall papers the display.

This is in Maryland btw.

How did you get your license plates so fast? Takes 2-3 weeks in Arizona, and we hafta to have a temp paper "plate" until the real one comes (one plate only).

Hmm. Maybe depends upon state laws? They just sent the info over via the software and they had a bunch of plates at the dealership and sort of "associated" the car to one of the plates and transferred the info to MVA then and there.

Grat stuff!

I really like the looks of that radio. Especially the buttons.

I know it is hard to photograph under the car. Does it look like the whole underside is covered in that smooth plastic?

Yep the whole underside is like that.
Is it different on the EX?
.. I've been doing mostly city driving, like 60% city - 70 miles so far - and the trip calculator says 41.2 mpg. Will see what it really is when I fill up the tank. This time I'm doing all ECON mode, after the next fill up I'll do zero ECON. Wonder if there will be an appreciable difference.

Ok, we just got back.........from getting ice cream
Here are some thoughts. We got leather seats, i have never had leather seats so didnt know what to expect but I think they are pretty stiff compared to cloth seats :-/ I guess I expected them to be softer, maybe they will get softer?

So far have 80 miles on it and the mpg is reading 42.7 with mixed driving and a little gunning but not much. This makes me happy

Rpm is about 2100 at 65 on level road, as you reach an incline with cruise on it climbs a little. The CVT in my opinion is awesome! I drove a dang cobalt for 6 years so this was actually more peppy and less noisy than it was! I REALLY REALLY LIKE THIS CVT

The arm rest if you sit close to the wheel I think would be useless, but I have long legs and it is almost useful

I love the steering wheel controls to use the phone but mostly the radio. Yeah not having a knob may be a pain but having the volume control on the wheel is fantastic, you can scroll through your playlist and raise and lower the volume. Cruise controls just as nice to use.

All the plastic stuff seems stiff to me, I thought it was suppose to be softer, I dont find that to be the case.

Cup holders seem adequate but I normally only carry a bottle of water. The usb ports are a sweet addition.

Since I am 6 foot I slide my seat back fairly far and noticed when I pull my left foot back by the seat its not possible and probably because the fuel tank sits under the drivers seat now so there is a hump, not a major issue, i will adjust to that fine its just different. I will post some pics tomorrow when I can get some decent pics.

There is some smooth covering on the bottom it looks like.

The lane watch and backup camera are awesome! The back up has a camera that looks down and has a line that shows where 18" from an object, the normal backup camera is cool because as you turn the wheel the lines move to show you where you will end up..

Power seem more than adequate. Noise more than acceptable and ride better than my cobalt, road noise is minimal I think.

The keyless entry and start are really cool but getting use to not taking a key out will take a few times.. I tested the range for the wireless transmitter, if I out my left hand on the handle and stretch my right arm out away from the car it will not work, as I bring my right arm back in about the time my hand gets to my side it will work so I am guessing between 3-4 ft it will operate. Cool just pushing the button on the door outside to lock.

Tomorrow I will report some more.

Just noticed the Nitrogen label on the valve stem cap. Does everyone have this or is that something your dealer might have done?
