Mine denied the oh shit recall exists, even with me having the notice!. The coil recall did not stop the misfires. I am questioning if my dealer actually does the recalls, or just send a bill to Honda. They are happy to take my cash, but when it is a recall or warranty work, they squeal like pigs.

I've always thought those passenger roof handles felt flimsy. I was worried they were going to break when the Christmas tree sales people tightened a rope around those handles to attach the tree to my roof.

Available information says this wasn't about grab handle strength/sturdiness. It was about protecting the back side/edges of the bracket so that the side curtain airbag would not get cut/deflate from contacting them.

LX only, too, if I recall correctly.

Should have had the Christmas tree people put the tree inside the Fit :-D

My car is affected too. My LX is around #25,000. Recall notice said it should take about 90 minutes to fix. I'm going to bring some reading and enjoy the good coffee and snacks, and pleasant waiting area. Need to put new tires on my car before I drive it to dealership though...

My 16 fit is apparently affected, too. It has a grab handle for the front passenger seat. None for anybody else...

My first gen fit had them all around. I wonder what's up with that?

Got the door handles replaced on my 2015 LX after receiving an "important" safety recall notice from Honda. When my wife picked the car up after the repair, she was told it was just a small thing. Don't know how important it was after all. Anyway, it was fixed. Go figure.

Hmmm, interesting! Never heard of it called that. I have heard of the grab handle on the dash of old VWs being called the "jesus bar!"

Apparantly the recall affects only LX models made between April 11, 2014, and July 2, 2015. Without the sunroof the roof design is different so that is why only LXs are affected. One of the few times it has proven unwise to go with the simpler car!

Mine was made on October 2014 so I do fall within your date range - I took it to the dealer today to address it. In addition, they also replaced the outer door handle brackets (I didn't even ask). According to them there was no corrosion present, but they still replaced them.
Unfortunately, they were not very careful with the rear handle brackets work - the ceiling fabric was damaged and the carpeting was left dirty and fuzzy - it's not too much, but it's frustrating since that's just carelessness. I already wrote them a complaint e-mail, and will be back either tomorrow or one day soon so they can correct it - what an annoying little hassle - sorry, just venting. I usually check a car after servicing, but this time I was in a hurry and just trusted that they did their job correctly. All other Fit owners, please check the dealer's work if you aren't already Here are the pics of the damage.

The dealer was very apologetic and they will replace the ceiling fabric covering. I'll take it in when the part comes in and they will give me a free rental car for the day. Regarding the carpet in the cargo area, they vacuumed and cleaned it. I'm glad that they owned up to their oopsie.
