If I can't DIY this myself, I would rather take it to a TV repairman, show him the youtube video on how to do it, and he would probably charge me a lot less to just re-solder the joints than what they dealer would to replace it with a new cluster.
Have a TV Repairman (if they still exist in the era of flat screen throw away TV's) to fix your auto gauge digital display?
You might have a TV installed in your auto gauge digital display. LMAO!!!!!!
I take my Honda Fit to my Honda Dealer where I bought my Fit from for maintenance and repairs.
You think taking your Fit to an independent neighborhood backyard mechanic that fixes cars on weekends you're saving money from going to the overpriced Big Bad Dealer? If the backyard mechanic doesn't properly fix the problem the cheap price turns out to be expensive.
It cost more to go to the Honda Dealer for routine maintenance and other issues. At least the Dealer will fix the problem and do the work right the first time. Well to me anyway.
Stop throwing Honda Dealers under the bus. They have to pay bills and live too.

I have pulled out the cluster on the GK and solder the disconnected pins. It took about 2 hours total and less one dollar worth in solder. I called the dealer and they said $900 for the cluster + labor. From what I have done to get this fix on the GK, I can say that it is better to get a TV repairman, since they would know how to solder better than the mechanic, and dealers do not solder as they only replace! So, if you are happy with spending $900 + labor while others spend 2 hours and less than $1 in solder to get the display fix, more power to you.
As for throwing the Honda Dealers under the bus, I have to say the experience I have had with Honda dealers are not experience I would recommend to anyone. Last time I took my Honda HRV in for warranty service, they must have left my car running for like 1/2 day at least, as I saw that 1/2 of of my full gas tank were gone while only 5 miles were driven, and they didn't re-attach the plastic undershield back properly. The other time I had the dealer did work on Honda Fit, it was for the transmission replacement and again, the undershield was not put back properly along with multiple clips missing on the top. Trust the dealers? Not me here, and most of the car maintenances here are DIY.
Well.. here’s to finally joining this thread.. mine started flickering like crazy this morning. Here in Northern California we’ve had a decent amount of rain recently fall and it was about 40* this AM. I read through a bunch of this thread and it appears cold weather has been a common issue. I’m hoping that this is the culprit. It went away and came back to normal display after getting the interior cabin warm and driving for about 20 mins or so.
will keep you all posted if it pops back up for me or if there are any additional symptoms/items that are triggering the display to act up.
edit: some relevant info is probably helpful. 2015 fit with 78k miles.

I finally fixed the display my daughter's 2015 Fit this past weekend using the tips from this thread. She bought the car 6 years ago and the gauge has been acting up for about 2 years. The car just passed 62,000 miles.
The PC board solder joints were the problem. The attached pic shows 4 that were cracked.
Good stuff, folks. Joined the forum just to say a big "Thanks!" for these tips. When it warms up a bit further here in Canuckistan, and plastic tabs are less likely to snap, I'll be taking a run at this repair. The flickering/blank display was entertaining for a few days, but has been a real nuisance for the past few months on my 2016.
A few months ago, my fuel gauge display started going out...intermittently. Pretty much always at least once a trip. Sometimes it starts when I turn the car on, sometimes it's after I've driven 20 miles. The display stays backlit, but all the information (time, fuel gauge, odometer, temp) disappears.
Usually it will stay like that for a good while and then a bunch of gibberish suddenly pops on, as if everything possible was being displayed at once. Sometimes it will go back to showing nothing, sometimes it will go to a good display. Doesn't seem like it's related to temp - happens now in cool or warmish weather.
I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this.
I found another guy on the Internet a couple years ago that had the exact same issue, and the dealership told him it was a bad display (as opposed to a loose wire) and it'd have to be replaced. If so, I'm wondering how much effort it is to tear open the dash and do it myself. Kind of disappointed. This is my third Fit and the first two also had various electrical problems, though nothing I couldn't ignore. Really hard to ignore the lack of a fuel gauge.
Wow! You're good. A Search didn't help me. thanks1

From another post, it seems that the four points on the left are the bad ones. Since they're all the same age, mileage, and solder, it would probably be good to remove all the solder and apply fresh.
As it turns out, my display came back on yesterday afternoon.
