i too have a water leak

just noticed a wet spot on the front passenger side of my '19 LX , 2400 miles , been raining heavily today on Long Island . went through some deep puddles
a half hour ago to check it out , for sure it's coming in past the seal under the passenger door ,towards the front of the door . i guess it's going in for some
warranty work , not my favorite past time

You should be within the bumper to bumper warrenty, go take it back to where you bought it and explain the problem.

update on my water leak , been spraying the daylites out of it with a hose from all angles and can't generate any kind of leak , guess i'll have to wait for the
next heavy rain to drive through , in the meantime , had a good look at the full belly pan under this car . is this thing gonna go the distance ? what's it for , sound
deadening ? looks like cheap trunk lining material , i wonder if it will even make it through the winter

Are you sure it's coming from the door seals? Some have had issue with the vapor barrier between the door panels not being sealed tight with the black goo, causing water to leak into the car versus outwards.

Another thing to consider is the sun roof drains, possible one or more not draining properly.

after a down pour this morning , it took in more water , it's filling the gutter down the center of the weather stripping some how . water stays outside that on the
other doors , could possibly be from the bottom of the door panel , i guess it's for Honda to figure out

you're talking about the shroud under the engine? its more for aerodynamics to improve mpg. but most people that had issues just removed it entirely and never looked back.

This is what I was referencing: Vapor barrier

yeah, my 19 looks like a hot wheels car underneath, all belly pans and a silver exhaust.

You'll have to ask the guy who posted that video. When I replaced the stock door speakers I made sure to press down on the goo. It's pretty sticky and I don't think it'll fall off. I think it may not have been put on correctly from assembly.

The goo will do it's job assuming that the right amount was properly applied in the right location and properly pressed down. The problem is that being inside the door panel it will be quickly closed off on the production line and no one will ever see it or inspect it again. If something was done wrong Honda won't know about it until warranty charges start coming in due to water on the floor, many months later.

update on my water leak , we got the door panel off today , the goo in 2 spots along the bottom side had slight gaps but seems like the leak is from the bottom edge of the speaker ,
the gasket is deformed on the bottom as in the video . pour alot of water outside on the window and you can see a considerable amount of water streaming down past the speaker opening and
it's guided right out the bottom . so , that appears to be it BUT that also means the door speakers are getting very wet on their backside , i guess that's why they have plastic cones , odd setup

When I upgraded my speakers I paid the little extra to get foam baffles to install behind the speakers. I figure that extra bit of protection was worth the $16 for four speakers. Since I'm trading in credit card points it haveha cut me a cent

more details in my Speaker upgrade post

I have a 2016 Fit with sunroof and had a lot of water in the driver floorboard. Honda charged me $149 to find the leak. It was the sunroof drains. We did have a downpour. Frustrating. My first car with a sunroof. My brother has the 2015 and no leaks from his sunroof.

Consider it a $149 education. I've owned countless sunroofs dating back to a 1980 Prelude that was my first. Own 3 with sunroofs right now. Never had one with a leak.

Key is ALL in the drains. Even a brand new car can have problems if it is sitting under the right tree or getting the right debris into the channels and blocking the drains.

I once bought a Nissan 240sx for dirt cheap. Owner told me it had an electrical problem and a leaking sunroof. The "electrical problem" was fixed by removing a faulty aftermarket alarm. The sunroof "leak" was fixed once I removed the roughly 2 lbs of silicone sealant he put all over the roof and cleaned out the drains. He, as well as many others, mistakenly think that sunroofs are meant to seal to the car. They are not. They are designed to leak into the channels and then drain through the body down to the ground. If water is getting into the passenger compartment, the drains aren't working.

thanks a lot for the video!
Bumping thread to see if you removed panel and what you did to fix the leak. I am getting water in back foot well now also.
