Changed the engine oil, rotated the tires, and installed my Spoon Sports magnetic engine oil drain plug! This is my first time trying out the Motul 8100 Eco-lite 0W-20.

Olga seems to like it so far. Prior to Motul 8100 Eco-lite 0W-20, I used Mobil 1 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy.

I've also sent a sample of the oil from my last oil change to Blackstone Labs for analysis.

I'm curious to see how the engine is doing after 10,000 miles. I'll share their analysis once I receive the results.

Was that 0w20?

For some reason, the report shows you have ~5000 miles on the oil, but the comments say 8,100 and they seem to think this was from the factory fill.

I used Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20 for ~5,400 miles before changing my oil.

According to the analysis, I'm showing similar wear for oil that was used for ~8,100 miles.

I e-mailed Blackstone Laboratories for clarification and this was their response.

"Hi there, Kevin

Yes, that's correct. You had fairly average amounts of metal after a shorter-than-average interval. As for the metal from break-in, it'll almost always show up beyond the first (initial) oil change, and often into the third or fourth. There was likely a little residual metal in your sample, and there may even be some next time, not that that's a problem. I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any more questions."

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the clarification. Your oil was also fairly broken down from a viscosity stand point for that amount of miles. I saw similar when I had Blackstone test Motorcraft full synthetic.

I bet you'll see better results from the Motul.

You are very welcome. I greatly appreciate your input!

I'll be sending another oil sample when the time comes and we'll see how the Motul 8100 Eco-lite 0W-20 compares to Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20.

Hasport rear motor mount installed! Installation was fairly easy and took around 30 minutes in total.

The difference between the two mounts is immediately noticeable. I opted for the U70A urethane and don't regret it whatsoever.

The cabin does experience an increase in NVH, but that's to be expected.

The increase in NVH is most noticeable while idling with the A/C on and during initial take off. Besides that, it's not very noticeable at all.

Engine response has significantly improved after installation of the Hasport rear motor mount.

Also, gear changes are much more direct now and there is no second-guessing occurring during gear changes.

Here's a little teaser for you all.

Also, I switched from Morimoto M-LED projectors to Morimoto Mini D2S 4.0 projectors.

Once again, I highly recommend checking out 818 Retrofits' work. I am very happy with the finished product!
