Now that I have the car back I really want to try this. I would like to wait till the weather cools down for the area to test this. The desert is hot this time of year.

We have been measuring top speeds on Fits - and others - for years. It took less than 2 minutes to look up the data in our log books. Fastest Fit turned 113.2, the slowest 107.7., and te aveage fron at least 20 trials is 109.6 mph. always average of 2 way runs usually 2 minutes apart.
We specify with 5 minutes to ensure atmospheric conditions have the least effect on the 2 way runs. Usually its run one mile one way with flying start, turn around and run the other way. No, its not absolutely level but close. And the Fit is not very aerodynamic. Just taping the gaps arounfd doors will add a couple mph. And we don't see a sudden wall, the last 4-5 mph is slow to be acheived.

I'm still looking for the coefficient of drag but don't forget the LX CVT has underbody panels that cover the majority of the bottom of the car, as well as a few other things, to improve C.O.D. It looks like a pain in the ass to try to wrench on anything with these pieces needing to be removed but otherwise, it looks functional as hell.

Wait your saying the fastest Fit you have tuned only topped 113.2 mph?

I personally have been over 113mph several times.

Torque PRO app for android. OBD2 speed and GPS speed both have logs over 115mph

With my oversize tires, over 100mph OBD2 is over 105mph GPS

I presume you mean by tuning those are cars modified to yield higher speeds.
No, those are stock Fits equipped with OEM filters, wheels, tires, exhausts, and air intakes.
don't right off hand know which tuned one was fastest with modified exhaust, better intake, bodywork, wheels and tires. Seemed like to me it was about 120 mph but memory isn't that good.
And again for those insisting top speeds based on one way trip its just so much talk. If you didn't run one way and then the reverse and average the two you do not know your top speed; only that you ran that fast that time in that direction.
If memory isn't too bad I think just imporoved bodywork with tape and folding nirrors underbody panels was the cheapest way to faster speeds with better airflow intake filters and exhausts next. I'm pretty sure many got over 120 mph.
Remember that the aero resistance increases with the cube of the increase in speed so to get 120 mph for the same shape needs to increase hp by 35 % to 136 hp. Aero gains are more beneficial
Not having tested a newer Fit I suspect it will come closer to 120mph but not surpass without help.

New Fit is 118mph! Tested and confirmed more than once. Just saying! And it's not a struggle to get there.

The speedo just stops right at this point. The maf sensor gpms just die off like air is being cut off from the engine.
