Just used this to do my buddy club short shifter. Great write up, thanks!
The only part I had trouble with was getting the black shift linkage to do the quarter turn. I used some channel locks and used those to turn it and it popped right out.
Btw, this buddy club shifter feels absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it. It feels just like my old STI lol

Thank God for these instructions.

This was super helpful for installing my Buddy Club.
A couple things I'd like to add (maybe it will help):
1) The 2 Centre Console clips (step 2?) are easy to reinstall, but first you have to get that centre "circle" (where you pushed in to release the clips) to "pop" back out. You have to fiddle with the clips but once the circle part is fully popped out (not flush with the rest of the clip, but rather poking out), you can insert it into the hole and then push that raised centre part back in (flush) to lock the clip in place.
2) The metal retainer for the right-side linkage was pretty tough to pull out for me - I had to use pliers to wiggle it out until I could fit a flat screwdriver between the bottom of the clip and the linkage and pry it out. Once you get the screwdriver worked in there, it's easy to pop out.
3) The black linkage on the left seemed easier to pull out once you release the cotter pin and washer to remove the linkage and get it to hang freely. As JdmMac pointed out, channel lock pliers made it super easy to pop back out
4) The torque specs for the 4 bolts to secure the shifter box are 16 lbf-ft or 2.2 kgf-m, but I just tightened them as much as I could using my ratchet.
