It is not necessary to convert to cable accel. pedal, you can use the newer civic SI engine k20z3 or the 2005-2006 RSX type s k20z1 engines that use DBW, but they are more expensive right now and hader to find used/wrecked.

Since I'm using a 2003 RSX type S k20a2 it's got a cable and I'm happy to switch!

And Yes I will keep you all updated!

Will you be fabbing the headers or having the work done?
Fabbing and welding pipes together I'm not much of a welder, but I know someone at Unorthodox Racing (Pulley manufacturer) that can help me out!

just a correction here, but the 05-06 RSX typeS still use throttle cable aswell. the K24 from a TSX would work though.

You are right I stand corrected. It was the K20Z3 from the Civic SI that Hasport used. DBW.

TSX K24A2 engine is also DBW and one heck of a torque monster!

Spoke with Brian from Hasport and I got the information on the chassis modifications such as denting the frame rail, cutting the Radiator support, moving brake lines, and fabbing new A/C line.

All in all I will be doing modification first before I plop in the new motor. BUT stay tuned for pics of the modifications!

**update** More information from HASPORT! The Custom Swap header WILL NOT BE MADE by Jackson Racing. Some other company is mass producing them for Hasport and Hasport will sell it under their own name.

SO basically look out for the Hasport Swap header!

ALSO you need to get an RSX shifter box for this swap! The FIt's shifter box, one of the directions is different!

Just wondering... did you pull the engine from the top or drop it out from the bottom?

After removing the header in car, (which was REAL EASY), I removed the engine/trans assembly from the top.

Sorry no updates today, I was real busy at work, and then I had to do some work on my wife's Civic's Rear brakes.
